FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION: A hand drawn sketch for the layout of an album that never saw the light of day: ESCAPE FROM EXILE!
TO CLARIFY: There is no vinyl in this jacket. It should probably be in the "art" category here on eBay, but we put it here. Again, there is NO VINYL in this jacket.
This hand drawn album jacket was basically a sketchpad for a compilation album that never got put together. It's a great example of the many jacket sketches we have filed in the section of the Solid Rock Archives that we call the "album matrix". Many of the sketches ended up as actual album covers like In Another Land, Planet, etc. This one didn't. It's more like a piece of art, and a peek into Larry's always active creative process... kind of like the sketchbooks you'd find in an artist's workshop. We think it's cool, and we have a few things like this framed in the archive rooms. We thought we'd put this one up on eBay. It reminds us of a Basquiat painting!
This item comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Solid Rock.
