Description

LARRY SAUNDERS – The Prophet of Soul (1976) Soul International-100 – EX/M- (cover/vinyl)


Super rare soul and funk release on the rare Soul International Records label, the same label to issue the Whole Darn Family “Has Arrived” album. This is a great combination of sounds with a band that includes Roger Hawkins on drums and Tippy Armstrong and Jimmy Johnson on guitar. There’s also organ, electric piano, clavinet and synth, plus a horn and conga/percussion section.  A great and obscure collectible.


This is a nice copy. The cover is bright and tight and crisp with little wear and only a tiny cut out notch in the top jacket opening side. The vinyl is pristine and glossy and looks unplayed. I grade this conservatively: EX/M- (cover/vinyl).
