LASCELLES PERKINS, LIL JOE, RARE 7 Inch ACETATE 1960, COXONE DODD, BLUBEAT, SKA
LASCELLES PERKINS Rare 7inch single Dubplate with Lil Joe written on one side so I presume an early copy of Little Joe, flip side is unmarked but plays Real Gone Clown circa 1960 MASTER SOUND SYSTEM label
Not sure if this was actually released in the UK but Discogs has the following information for the title,
" Could be 1959 Worlddisc and Allstars label are some of the earliest pressings by Coxsone Dodd. Some tunes were acetate only and played on Downbeat sound system for some time until being officially issued , to confuse matters the U.K release could be up to two years later "
A good early original Bluebeat/Ska sound to this one which I have had for a long time in my Bluebeat collection.
The condition as with most of this type is visually not great with wear, although it plays very well with slight light crackle in places. The Label is Excellent, Please ask for more information if needed.
