TWO LETTERS BY THE IMPULSE ORGANISATION PROMOTING THE 'LAST EXIT' SINGLE, INCLUDING STING OF THE POLICE (UK 1979)
Set of 2 original letters by The Impulse Organisation dated 16th May 1979 and 23rd May 1979 respectively, promoting the Last Exit single "Whispering Voices / Evensong" (orig. Wudwink WUD/01 UK 1975 with push-out centre / reissue 1979 with solid centre and limited to 900 copies) which was a jazz-rock record recorded at Impulse Recording Studios in Newcastle - Sting of the Police was a member of the band and participated in the single hence it's rareness (details in the superb book '45 Revolutions' by Mario Panciera). The letters amongst others do mention the availability of 900 copies of the single in 1979 (without mentioning that it was re-issued).
Great memorabilia items from the early punk & new wave era and a nice POLICE collectible.
