Description
CONDITION: E+ to NEAR MINT, RCA Victor PROGRAM TRANSCRIPTION record this is from the LAST recording session as these records were generally thought to have phased out in 1933 but this record is from a JANUARY 25, 1934 recording session and subsequently released -- early versions were made from a vinyl material and there were many complaints as they quickly wore out on the equipment of that era -- later issues, such as this record, were shellac and played very well with a high fidelity that also, didn't translate well on existing depression era equipment but does well today on phonographs with 78 rpm needles played at 33 1/3 rpm. This is the GREEN BROTHERS with "MY FAITH LOOKS UP TO THE" and "JESUS SAVIOR, PILOT ME" a 10" double sided shellac disc on RCA L-24031 - the Green Brothers trio were GEORGE HAMILTON GREEN celeste, JOSEPH GREEN chimes and BILLY DORN vibraphone from the original master recording January 25th, 1934 and not dubbed -- please see photos for overall condition.
This record will be securely packed in a new 12x12x4 box sandwiched between cardboard stiffeners and floating in a paper fill.
