***SUPER LIMITED EDITION ALERT*** Up for bid is one of three Promo editions of the hand-made, lathe cut one sided single “Cool Out” (Electronic Version) by JEFF The Brotherhood.
Lathe Cutting is a process which utilizes a sharp cutting stylus to engrave or emboss sound grooves onto a disk. Lathe cut records are an alternative to the modern practice of pressing records with metal plates. In lathe cutting a voice coil is used to drive a needle which cuts the sound waves into the revolving disk beneath it. They are made one at a time!
And the handmade cover for each handmade record are each completely different. This one features some happy rectangles from Neptune, Sweden Venus and Azores, whatever that means. You’ll have to ask Jake, because he made it.
So it’s the only one that exists.There is no exact duplicate. It was not made in a factory. This record was hand carved from an 8 foot sheet of polycarbonate plastic; shaped, sanded, waxed and cut in real time by one person. A person at funkyfrankenstein.com!
