OK - BACK FOR A LONG RUN OF LP VINYL OF VARIOUS MUSICAL STYLES - LET'S START WITH A FEW LATIN LPS!!! This is a reasonably priced 1961 MONO PRESSING OF THE 1961 U.S. UNITED ARTISTS RECORDS self-titled debut LP from The Latin Jazz Quintet, featuring alto sax man Eric Dolphy. It is United Artists Records catalog number UAL 4071, original 1961 black label pressing with the colored circles and balls at the tops of the labels. Personnel: Felipe Diaz-leader, vibes / Eric Dolphy-flute, bass clarinet, alto sax / Arthur Jenkins-piano / Bobbie Rodriguez-bass / Tommy Lopez-conga drum / Louis Ramirez-timbales. Tracks: You're The Cutest One, Speak Low, I Got Rhythm, Night In Tunisia, Cha Cha King, I Wish I Were In Love Again, You Don't Know What Love Is, Lover, Mangolina, April Rain. Condition of record is a low to mid VG+ with some surface marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play, this record is a real good player with very little surface noise. One label has some writing in black marker. Condition of cover is VG-/VG with splits for the entire length of the top edge and the right hand 9" of the bottom edge - I have carefully and neatly repaired these splits by taping from the inside. Cover also has some age discoloration and contact wear, a couple of wrinkles, and some wear and flaking along the edges and on the corners. Cover has no tears, stickers, or writing. This original MONO LP would be a choice addition to any modern or Latin jazz record collection!
