LAUREL AITKEN10"&12"acetate 

(LTS uk 76') 

Acetate lp and 10” 6 track acetate on LTS complete with insert typed and signed by the man himself, Laurel Aitken. In EX condition.  Back in 1969 the Belgian label Hebra issued two 45’s with “skinhead invasion” and “jesse james” out of the Pama catalogue. They kept on issuying from time to time other stuff from Laurel Aitken. He even had an album in 1972 on the same Hebra label; “the fantastic Laurel Aitken”. As far as I know, the last 45’ issued in Belgium dated from 1976. Now the insert is dated from 31 December 1976. So we can guess that he was trying to attempt to promote his older and also newer materials with Belgian distributors once again. Interesting enough, Laurel mixes stuff from 1969 onward on the 12 track of the lp. While on the 10” he dishes stuff I never heard off and that would be more likely from that time. 2 instrumentals and 1 dub produced by him but Laurel is not singing on’em. This whole item is most interesting and should appeal to all Laurel Aitken fans. If he wouldn’t have break through the other side, I would have thought this to be destined to dedicated fan; Tiziano Ansaldi. Are there other Laurel Aitken fans out there ?

Track listing (see scan) is something typical of Laurel Aitken’s mind, he gives new name to his songs just because he feels like it. So “African boogaloo” becomes “Devil’s disciples”, “It’s too late”” becomes “Come back home” and you get an extra bonus track on the b-side cause neither the insert nor the label present the mysterious 7th track !? Note that also the track on the labels are not in the same order than on the insert.Unique item!mod,suedhead,skinhead,rude boy...
