Sleeve condition VG. The thin b&w paper sleeve has some wear and creasing to front, hardly any to back. There is a small paper tear to the front (crosses Steed's leg).
Vinyl condition VG+. This was unexpected as the a-side has visible scuffs and some light scratch marks. However, it plays very well. There is a coarse "well played" quality to the sound but the mono is punchy, there are no skips or even clicks/pops and the background noise is minimal. The b-side, obviously less played, fares even better (nice tune too, hadn't heard this before).
A rare single which was, I believe, the first UK vinyl available containing Laurie Johnson's strident and stylish Avengers theme.

PLEASE NOTE: I do not "sight-test" records and list with comments like "vinyl looks to be in good condition". This is because a disc can look perfect but still have surface noise throughout (as I've found on too many occasions). All my records are played from start to finish on a fairly unforgiving Sansui deck fitted with an Ortofon cartridge and stylus.
