BYE BYE CITY / LE PIRE ET LE MEILLEUR ... 7-inch, 45rpm single by LE COEUR. Original Italian pressing on the BARCLAY label (BN 7037), from 1969. Killer underground mod psych double-sider by this cult French group. Features the original and best version of the BYE BYE CITY theme. Le Coeur's masterpiece totally destroys the version on ARC label by Italian singer, Dino ;) Super-cool French vocals and groovy psychedelic sounds that switch in tempo from the hip hop looped intro to an infectious freakbeat garage anthem. Great for DJs and comped on Le Beat Bespoke Vol 4 so expect lots of fuzz distortions / heavy drums / phased orchestrations and superb breakdowns. The LE PIRE ET LE MEILLEUR side is also superb. Lots more infectious vocals and funky rhythms with proto glam rock attitude and maybe a nod to the more experimental sound of The Beatles et al. Our Italian issue is also special as it comes with alternative (and superior) sleeve artwork. Difficult to find in nice condition, like this copy. Rare 45!!! 

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG 

Vinyl is in strong VG++ condition (closer to M-) with some hairlines and a couple of tiny scuffs from sleeve removal / storage. Some light surface noises. Item taken from an unplayed deadstock of records and played once for the recording of the soundclip. The soft card picture sleeve is in VG++ condition overall with a little creasing / some light ring marks and corner / edge wear. Rare 45!!!
