Description

Le Dejeuner Sur L'herbe with The New Jazz Orchestra - a much sought after album which showcases the top artists of the late 1960's English Jazz Scene.
This is the extremely rare 1st Press Stereo version released in 1969 on the Verve label. The matrix nos. are;
SVLP 9236 A-1G SVLP 9236 B-1G see photos.
Degritter cleaned, the vinyl is glossy with almost no marks, a couple of very faint paper marks visible in strong light only.  It sits flat on the turntable with clean labels, a few very light spindle trails visible, but in superb lightly played condition overall. Graded NM.
Playtest reveals a warm, detailed and panoramic stereo sound. Wonderful instrument separation. Majestic and simply beautiful. No playback issues whatsoever. Silent vinyl - this is a super quiet pressing.
The flipback laminate sleeve is solid with light creasing and small corner rubbing. The rear has a little foxing but nothing major. Lovely readable spine. The original pre-decimal price sticker from Dobells Record Shop in London is still present ( see photos).  No splits, writing, stains, tape or tears.
Original poly lined inner sleeve is also present.
The record will be sent separated out in an archival outer sleeve to prevent transit splits.
An extremely rare opportunity for a collector to own an original copy of this wonderful album.
