LE FARO DA PADRE OST Lp music by FRED BONGUSTO arranged and directed by JOSE MASCOLO. Original Italian pressing on RI-FI label (RDZ-ST 14248), from 1974. Spaced-out and stylish Italian soundtrack by the cult composer (and his No.1 arranger) for a very obscure and sleazy Italian movie. Maverick and tropical mood music for the sexy film directed by Alberto Lattuada starring Irene Papas / Gigi Proietti and Teresa Ann Sandy. A desirable item, featuring the stoned fender rhodes funk theme FLEXUS with aggressive fender basslines / wah wah / psychedelic fuzz distortions / latin congas / glockenspiel and B-boy drums. Superb, change of tempo midway into a sophisticated waltz before changing back into the main theme. For us, this funky Italian hippie take on the sound of young America easily matches anything from the Remigio Ducros / Daniela Casa - America Giovane Library series :) Great for DJs and easily Bongusto's funkiest moment on wax. Other eclectic lounge themes include the spooky Dario Argento horror film style synth waltz and haunted nursery rhyme motifs of GIOCHI NELL'AQUA / the strung-out indo exotica of UN SITAR DEL SUD and dub reprise of MONOSCOPIO INDIANO with sitar a la Alessandroni / cosmic synthesizers / water drums / bells and shakers. We have also recorded the lounge cum cinematic bossa theme LE FARO' DA PADRE and the beautiful 12-string Spanish guitar and trippy baroque atmospheres of CLO e L'AMORE. Slightly disturbing, taboo sex sleeve artwork too. Rare OST Lp!!!

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG 

Vinyl is closer to shiny M- condition overall with a few hairlines and some very faint, faded old pressing residue marks. Light surface noises. Some soft pops / soft ticks in places (as you can hear on the soundclip). The laminated sleeve is in strong VG++ condition (closer to M-) with light general wear. Laminate crease lines across the front sleeve but common for this release, in general. A touch of corner wear or corner dings in places. Camera flash glare to sleeve and label photo. Rare OST Lp!!!
