Le Super Biton National de Ségou

 

 

"Le Super Biton de Ségou, issu de la fusion de trois formations, voit le jour peu après l'indépendance du Mali. Son chef d'orchestre est le trompettiste Amadou Bâ, les autres membres les plus connus étant sans doute le chanteur Mamadou Doumbia et le guitariste Mama Sissoko. Rapidement, le groupe raffle les victoires aux différentes Biennales de la Jeunesse et obtient le titre d'Orchestre National. Malheureusement le Super Biton de Ségou ne survivra pas à l'arrivée de la démocratie au Mali, ses membres préférant rapidement voler de leurs propres ailes."
