Info: Was Leaves’ Eyes seit Veröffentlichung ihres Debütalbums „Lovelorn“ (2004) geschaffen haben, dürfte selbst Szenekenner überraschen. Obwohl das große Potential der Kombination von Sängerin Liv Kristine (die mit ihrer früheren Band Theatre Of Tragedy musikalische Pionierarbeit leistete und als Erfinder des Gothic Metal gilt) und Mitgliedern von Atrocity (u.a. ihr Ehemann Alex Krull) offensichtlich war, so übertraf die Band alle Erwartungen und gilt heute als eine der erfolgreichsten Symphonic Metal Bands der Welt. Nun erscheint mit „King Of Kings“ das sechste Album, was den bisherigen Höhepunkt im Schaffen von Leaves‘ Eyes darstellt. Erneut wurde ein Stück norwegische Wikinger-Geschichte (auf historischen Tatsachen basierend) vertont - und das in atemberaubender Weise. Man konnte gar das Chor Ensemble “London Voices” (das schon für Blockbuster-Filmproduktionen wie "Herr der Ringe", "Star Wars", "Der Hobbit", "Harry Potter" und "Interstellar" gearbeitet hat) für eine Zusammenarbeit gewinnen. So wurde aus „King Of Kings“ nicht nur ein Album, dass alle Facetten des Leaves’ Eyes Sounds repräsentiert, sondern die wahrhaft epischste Produktion der bisherigen Bandgeschichte. Im Female-fronted Symphonic/Gothic Metal setzen Leaves‘ Eyes die Maßstäbe.
