LED ZEPPELIN 1. VERY FIRST UK PRESSING ON THE GREEN/ORANGE ATLANTIC LABEL. K40031 A1/B3 MATRIX. GRADES EXCELLENT+
My listening equipment is a highly revealing Yamaha PF-800 turntable (easily equal to an LP12) with Glanz MC cartridge, pre/power amps and Castle speakers.
Played on my system this LP grades Excellent+ with just some very minor background noise to the run-in grooves, between tracks and to occasional quiet parts such as the organ intro to the opening track on side two which is not intrusive. The track “You shook me” has a couple of soft ticks also not intrusive. For 100% accuracy I’ll point out that side one has a very slight undulation to the outer edge (not enough to be called a warp) and this is of no audio consequence – I’ve uploaded a video of it on Youtube (http://youtu.be/6wEMmnyqtgQ) - unfortunately YouTube have removed the audio as it’s a copyrighted song, but you can still see for yourself how insignificant the undulation is. While Plum label LPs are obviously earlier, this is the very first UK pressing on the Green/Orange Atlantic label (no WB logo on the label and the perimeter text is in the lower Orange half and does not extend into the Green half of the label as later pressings do).
The fully laminated single slip cover is excellent.
