Description
This is the original UK LP by LED ZEPPELIN, Self-Titled 1st UK LP, MEGA RARE 1st Pressing on the ATLANTIC Plum label 588171 with the "SUPERHYPE"label credits and the TURQUOISE lettering cover. Matrix numbers are, SIDE 1;- 588171 A#1, SIDE 2:- 588171 B#1.
The MEGA RARE original 1969 1st issue fully laminated MacNeill Press cover is in a strong VG+++ condition, would be graded much higher but for some very light staining, on the front top right hand corner and on the back top left hand corner, not visually intrusive, other than that the cover only has minimal wear, their is no unwanted writing and no seam splits, the spine is fully intact and perfectly readable. The cover maintains all it's original bright vibrant colour, noticably the TURQUOISE letttering which is as fresh as the day of release.
The vinyl is in VG+++ condition, I have played the LP (very carefully!) and the vinyl plays superbly, playing with crisp clarity, their is a little light crackle to be heard here and there, which is not audioable intrusive and a few light pops/clicks at the end of "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You", their is no jumping ot sticking, plays through perfectly, other than that the LP plays beautifully!.
The original 1st pressing label's with the "Superhype"credits on each side are in EX++ condition, lovely and clean, their is no unwanted writing and no scuffs, the spindle hole shows minimal wear, both 'Superhype' credits are clear to see under the track listing on each side. The label's maintain their original bright vibrant colour.
The vinyl is housed in a white inner sleeve, which I believe to be the original and in EX+++ condition, lovely and clean, their is no unwanted writing and no seam splits.
Altogether a very respectable copy of this MEGA RARE original 1969 Self-Titled 1st LP, 1st Press by LED ZEPPELIN, with the TURQUOISE lettering cover and the "Superhype"credits on both sides of the label.
