This is one of the earliest copies as it retains the Superhype label credits normally found on copies with the turquoise cover.

Detailed description
Labels: The Superhype labels have no damage, writing, stickers etc, just spindle marking and normal signs of use.
Vinyl: The vinyl has retained its original high sheen, although under bright light, various hairlines, fine marks and scuffs were visible including some more-prominent lines (mainly on side one) and a few fine scratches. I have played the entire record and it plays through perfectly with no jumps, skips or sticking and overall the sound is Very Good. There is background noise and crackle which can be heard in the quiet parts and the run-ins/outs, fades, silent grooves and intros, some background clickiness and a few quiet, short-lived repetitive clicks, but generally these don't last longer than about half-a-dozen revoltions. The exceptions were twelve clicks in a quiet section near the end of 'Babe I'm gonna leave you' and then a further nineteen crackly clicks in the long quiet end-section of the song, and a more-persistent click that starts in the fade to 'Communication Breakdown' and continues through the opening quiet section of 'I can't quit you Baby' but stops before the loud part. Additionally, there are some isolated hisses and a few instances of top-end distortion, but for the most-part there is nothing loud or unpleasant. However, at the very start of side one there are some prominent hisses for the first few seconds and some other more-noticeable hisses during the rest of 'Good Times Bad Times' and 'Babe I'm gonna leave you'. Despite these obvious audible faults the loud parts of 'Babe I'm gonna leave you' and  the solo in 'You shook Me' sound superb and there are parts of both sides that I would grade as Near Mint (e.g. the loud parts of 'Dazed and Confused', 'Communication Breakdown' and 'How Many more times'). This wide variance of sound-quality makes it fairly hard to give an overall grade for this album. On side one the first two tracks probably grade around Good, with 'You shook me' grading around Very Good and 'Dazed and Confused' grading around Excellent but with parts that sounds Near Mint. Based on this I think that an overall grading for side one would be around Very Good, or just under. Side two is better than side one and there are several parts on side two that sound Near Mint. Without the repetitive click in the fade to 'Comminication Breakdown' and 'I can't quit you Baby' side two would have graded around Very Good plus (VG+) or better. However, taking that click into account I think that an overall grading for side two would also be around Very Good. Clearly, this is not a copy for the audio-perfectionist, but many parts of it sound superb. My overall play-grading for the album as a whole would be Very Good (VG) (with side one just under, and side two just over), but some parts, especially on side one, grade lower than this, although many parts grade much higher than this.
Sleeve: The sleeve has no major issues, just normal signs of age and use. There are creases near the opening and around the edges, spine and corners. The pale parts of the cover have discoloured with age, mainly near the edges and there is a more-noticeable discoloured area at the top of the rear cover. There is some laminate lift around the spine and various creases/cracks across the spine but, apart from a very small (pea-sized) area at the bottom-rear-spine corner, there is no laminate flaking or peeling etc.
Edge wear: There is just normal wear to the edges, more at the corners, but no seam-splits. The spine is solid and firm (although there are various creases/cracks across it) and the text is all 100% readable. There are a couple of small nicks/tears (just a few milimeters) to the rear opening which have been neatly repaired from the inisde, but they are fairly minor.
Corner wear: There is moderate corner wear, more at the bottom than the top, but there is nothing prominent or unsightly anywhere. The bottom opening corner has worn through to a tiny (2mm) corner split.
Inner sleeve: Plain

My items are always described accurately and fairly. I always do my best to point out any blemishes which might detract from the item and all photographs are of the actual item you will get.

Play-graded vinyl: I play grade records where possible but I don't have time to play them all. I always state in the listing if I have played a record prior to describing it.

Visually-graded vinyl: Unless specifically stated in the listing, vinyl is visually graded.  A visual grading will identify physical flaws (such as scratches) and can help determine whether a record has been cared-for properly. I always do my best to give a fair assessment of any visible marks on the playing surface, but a visual grading will not identify noise or crackle caused by non-visible sources. Most of the records I sell are between thirty and fifty years old and so it is likely that there may be some background noise even if they look perfect. • My items are fully guaranteed - if it is not as described you can return it for a full refund, including postage. Refunds for visually graded records which are returned based upon the buyer's assessment of the record's playgrade, will not include postage costs in either direction.
• Your bid is binding, so please make sure you have READ and UNDERSTOOD the WHOLE LISTING before you bid. I will not accept returns where the buyer has not read or not understood something which is stated/shown in the listing.
  
• I accept Paypal and postal orders (in UK Sterling GBP) for all purchases.  I also accept cheques (in UK Sterling GBP) on orders OVER £50.
• Please pay for your item within three days of the auction closing. If you are intending to bid on other items and wish to pay when they have closed, please contact me to let me know. I reserve the right to cancel any transactions and offer the item to the second highest bidder if no contact or payment is made within three days.

POSTAGE & PACKING

I care about the records I sell and believe that they need to be carefully and securely packaged to ensure that they survive their journey through the post. Vinyl is removed from the sleeve for posting and the contents will be protected with rigid cardboard stiffeners. All packages are labelled "Do not bend" and securely sealed with "FRAGILE" parcel tape.

I support the use of recycled materials and so I may send some items in packaging which has been previously used or which has been made from other cardboard packaging. If you wish your item to be sent in entirely new packaging please let me know before paying for it. Thanks.

P&P charges

I need to cover the cost of postage and packing materials, but I try not to charge more for packing and posting your item than it actually costs me. I do not view P&P costs as a means of making money.

However, to quote an exact cost for every LP is difficult because of the wide variance in weight (e.g. Abbey Road weighs around 230 grams whereas Led Zeppelin III weighs around 390 grams). But the majority of single LPs, when packed, will weigh around 500-550 grams and I have based my P&P rates on this.

Occasionally, you may end up paying a few pence more than it actually costs me and occasionally you may end up paying a few pence less than it actually costs me. If there is a significant discrepancy in your favour I will refund the difference.

Double LPs will be charged as two LPs, triple LPs will be charged as three LPs. Box sets etc will be charged according to weight.

UK P&P costs

UK Standard service - items valued below £50 are sent using first class recorded post. The cost for this is as follows:

One to four LPs (with a combined total value below £50) = £4.50.

First 7" or CD = £2.50, each additional 7" or CD add £0.50


UK Special Delivery - Any order valued over £50 will be sent fully insured using Royal Mail Special Delivery and the total cost of this will be £8.55 for one to four LPs and £11.40 for five or more LPs . Please wait for my invoice before paying.

Any order valued below £10 can be sent using second class standard mail, free of charge.
