1st ISSUE GATEFOLD COVER IN V.G. CONDITION.
1971 1st ISSUE "Stairway To Heaven" LYRICS / TITLES INNER SLEEVE.
THE RECORD IS GRADED ON AN OVER SEVERE VISUAL BASIS ONLY,
AS VERY GOOD +++ / EXCELLENT CONDITION. IN REALITY, EVERY SECOND OF THIS RECORD PLAYS PRECISELY AS A MINT RECORD.

PLEASE READ BELOW VERY CAREFULLY AS THIS IS A ONE OFF !!!

THIS IS NOT ONLY THE ORIGINAL 1971 PRESSING, IT IS ALSO PRINTED WITH THE WRONG LABELS ON THE RECORD. THE FIRST PRESSINGS HAVE 'PRODUCED BY JIMMY PAGE, EXECUTIVE PRODUCER PETER GRANT.That means these very first pressing's were printed without the correct credits, so Atlantic had a few records pressed that needed ammending. They obviously ordered changes to all further label printing and rather than ditch the first made records, they had special over stickers made after they relelised their mistake, however a very small quantity managed to find thier way out of the press, here is one of those few. I'm sure the eagle eyed will have spotted the glaring errors, "Superhype Music Inc." was missing and I'm sure Jimmy Page objected strongly to the "Executive Producer Peter Grant" credit, after all Jimmy was the producer,so even though Peter Grant was their manager, he didn't want him getting any LP production credits.Unlike the mix up with "Led Zeppelin 2" over the "Lemon Song" / "Killing Floor" ammendment, as the cover did not have any credits or printing on the entire cover, the labels alone had the incorrect credits. Also on the next labels made and all other pressings in 1971, the bolder "LED ZEPPELIN"  title was moved to the position the top half stickers were placed on. One final abnormality is also the first side's maitrix numbers, instead of the correct "- A - 3", it ended with "- B - 1"! This was spotted as well, Atlantic certainly were determined to get these few records out and sold, because that ending was over stamped with 'XX' and the correct ending "- A - 3" stamped to the immediate right, you can still see the incorrect stamping though.

I HAVE SEEN THE CORRECT LABLED LP'S AND THE LP'S WITH THE OVER-STICKER, HOWEVER THIS IS THE FIRST I HAVE SEEN THAT WAS NOT ONLY PRINTED INCORRECTLY, IT ESCAPED THE OVER STICKERS TO CORRECT THE ERRORS.

COPIES OF THIS ALBUM WITH THE CORRECT LABLES SELL FOR AROUND £40, COPIES WITH THE OVERSTICKERS FOR AROUND £95, THIS IS ONE OF THE FIRST PRESSINGS WITHOUT THE ERRORS BEING RECTIFIED !!!!!

THE CONDITION OF THE OUTER COVER IS VERY GOOD, IT DOES HAVE VERY SLIGHT WEAR TO THE TOP AND BOTTOM LEFT HAND COURNERS, THIS IS VERY SLIGHT. THE INNER SLEEVE HAS SMALL CUTS IN THE EDGES WHERE THE LP HAS CUT THROUGH, THE ACTUAL SERFICE IS PERFECT IT HAS JUST EFFECTED THE EDGES SLIGHTLY. THE LP HAS A FEW VEY LIGHT SCRATCHES, THESE DO NOT EFFECT THE SOUND AS I HAVE TESTED THE ALBUM ON TWO SEPERATE TURNTABLES TO CHECK, YOU HAVE TO REALY LOOK IN THE RIGHT LIGHT TO SEE THEM THEY HAVE NOT DAMAGED THE GROVES IN ANYWAY.

THE INNER SLEEV ALSO HAS THE MISTAKE OF EXECUTIVE PRODUCER - PETER GRANT, AGAIN THEY HAVE NOT COVERED THIS UP WITH THE OVER STICKERS.

I HAVE PUT A PHOTO OF ANOTHER LABEL WHICH HAD THE OVER STICKER ONCE THE MISTAKE WAS NOTICED, A PICTURE OF THE LATER LABEL WITH THE CORRECT DETAILS AND A PICTURE OF THIS LABEL, BEFORE THEY NOTICED THE MISTAKES.
