Absolutely Stunning **Near Mint/Near Mint** Original 1969 UK 1st Pressing 'Led Zeppelin II' on UK 1st Press 'Plum/Orange' Atlantic Record Labels w/ Original Inner Sleeve & Mega Rare 'Darker Brown' Variant of the E.J Day Unlaminated Gatefold Sleeve!!!!! Which is Also in Impossible Near Mint Condition!!!!
This is a Beautiful Stone-Cold Near Mint/Near Mint UK 1st Pressing!!!
Here is another gem from my own personal collection (which I am selling off gradually to lessen the pain...) I have been collecting very rare vinyl for a long time now. As a collector, I have been very critical about the condition of the records I have chosen to buy over the years, and only selected the most pristine 1st pressings I have found. My collection is therefore filled with not only the rarest UK 1st pressings, but also records of the highest grade quality condition, some of the best you will probably ever come across. All have been professionally archived and are fresh to the market. Sadly, most now have to find new homes. As I said, I am very strict with my grading, so when I describe a record as Nr Mint - you can rest assured that it will be a true Nr Mint record (I never grade any records as Mint because Mint does not exist unless you own a time machine and go back and bag a job in a 1960's record pressing plant!)
You are bidding on a beautiful ORIGINAL 1969 UK stone cold Near Mint/ Near Mint 1st Pressing of the awesome 'Brown Bomber'; Led Zeppelin II. This is an absolutely essential UK 1st pressing for any high grade psych/rock/blues collection - especially in this condition!!! UK 1st pressings of this, Led Zep's ultimate masterpiece, are very hard to find today!!! Most Plum/Orange 1st presses like this one have long been trashed and only turn up occasionally, and when they do they are usually in terrible condition with very worn-out sleeves and scratched/heavily marked discs. Other than that, you are left with the many cheaply pressed (mostly European) re issues, which ALL sound tinny, scratchy and horrible. However this is the real deal; the true 1970 UK Plum/Orange Atlantic 'Brown Bomber' 1st pressing and is very very rare!! What's more, it is in stunning Near Mint condition! Not only that but this comes with the Mega Rare 'Darker Brown' variant unlaminated E.J Day sleeve! This is massively rare as most of these unlaminated E.J. Days were much lighter brown in tone!!! I have only ever see a handful of others with his dark brown variant!!! A very, very serious record suitable for only the highest grade Near Mint Led Zeppelin UK 1st press collection - you will never need to upgrade!!! Check it out below and bid high to avoid disappointment - copies in Near Mint condition throughout are impossible to find and very, very sought-after... I have made this auction private to respect the winners privacy due to the high value of this record. A very serious record indeed and essential for any Near Mint Led Zeppelin 1st Press collection... Please see below for a detailed overall description... I accept Paypal as a form of payment from winners outside the UK (I also accept many other forms of payment for non-UK winners - see below) However, I no longer accept Paypal from UK winners as the fees are too extortionate. Therefore payment in the UK must be via cheques, bank transfer, or any other method listed below (if the method you wish to use is not listed please let me know and we will work something out). I repeat, I no longer accept Paypal for UK transactions. Please wait for your invoice to be sent before paying. If you are in the UK and you pay via Paypal you payment will be refunded! Please see my payment options listed below for greater clarity.
"Went to sleep last night, worked as hard as I can,
Bring home my money, you take my money, give it to another man.
I should have quit you, baby, such a long time ago.
I wouldn't be here with all my troubles, down on this killing floor."

The Classic 1st press Plum/Orange Atlantic Record centre labels are in superb Near Mint condition!!! There are NO Scribbles, NO lifting and NO unwanted writing of any kind, just some very light spindle wisps and that's it!!!
The quality thick & chunky UK 1st press vinyl looks an sounds absolutely stunning, it weighs a ton and is simply Nr Mint!!! And remember - this is the earliest UK 1st press, straight from the master, it therefore sounds much louder, defined and punchy than all the weaker re-pressings. I cannot emphasise how very difficult it is to find 1st press copies of this LP that have not been played to death, on the rare occasions that the do turn up on Plum/Orange they are full of nasty scratches and gouges and sound terrible; wrecked by the harsh blunt mono needles of the 1960's. This one is NOT - It is Visual and close to aural Perfection!!! This record is in absolutely stunning pristine Nr Mint condition!!! Visually, the record still retains ALL its original gloss and shine and has NO dulling and NO nasty greying of the grooves!!! There are no scratches, hairlines or scuffs. And there is no warping! There is just the occasonal virtually invisible paperline (simply caused by removing the record from its inner sleeve) that in no way sounds and is invisible unless tilting the record toward very strong light. I am very pleased to state that this is a record that also plays as good as it looks!!! It it has NO jumps, NO skips, virtually NO between track crackle and NO nasty loud pops!!! There is just some crackle on the run-ins that all but disappears when the record kicks in... It is one of the best playing examples I have ever heard! The thick quality pressed chunky 1970's vinyl looks and feels great (it is very heavy!). I have no hesitation whatsoever with grading this vinyl as a very strong Near Mint!!! Its as simple as that!!! (suitable for the highest grade Mint- collection - you will not find a better record!!) Absolutely beautiful!!!
In keeping with this exceptional record, the classic original E. J. Day non-laminated gatefold sleeve also grades as a strong Near Mint condition!!! It is truly exceptional!!! Just take a look on eBay or anywhere else and see if you will see another in this condition! I can almost guarantee you will not, these original unlaminated E.J Day sleeves only ever show up in Ex condition at best (with lots of wear!) What's more, this is the mega rare darker brown variant!!! Just look how dark the colour is! Most of these original non-laminated E.J Day sleeves are a much lighter brown! I have only ever seen a handful of these darker brown variant sleeves in my lifetime! can be distinguished from later re-pressed sleeve by being completely matt and un-laminated and made by E.J Day - all later pressings had a shiny or eggshell finish and/or have no E.J. Day credit. On the rare occasions that these original sleeves turn up nowadays, they are totally worn out-looking with severe wear to the corners & edges, stains and ring wear (especially to the back). Suffice to say, these rare 1st press sleeves have not remained in prime condition over the years. This is because they were never laminated, believe me, I have seen some terrible looking examples of this sleeve!!! However this example is truly exceptional! It is in stunning Nr Mint condition! It has NO Tears, NO Wear, NO Scribbles and NO unwanted writing of any kind! It is completely blemish free!!! The un-laminated sleeve opens out perfectly to reveal a Nr Mint- un-laminated inner! I cannot find any faults at all, there is no wear to the spine or opening edges, no ring-wear, no writing/scribbles etc, no discolouration and no blemishes. There are just one or two tiny superficial oxbow creases on the reverse side, but they are hairline and all but invisible unless you are looking specifically for them and they do nothing to stop this getting a superb Near Mint grading!!!
Of course, the LP comes with its Original correct UK 'Warning box' and 'patents' poly-lined windowed inner sleeve which is also in Near Mint condition!!! It is nice and flat with NO creases. As I mentioned previously, please rest assured that this is in no way over-graded, what you are getting here is the real deal. I adhere strictly to record collector grading standards!!! Please check out our feedback and bid with confidence as this is a no reserve auction with a very low starting price!
I have tried to show you the record from all angles using oversized pictures. If you are not sure of anything just email me - I will be happy to help. Don't underestimate the rarity of this LP - finding a UK 1st press of this LP in this kind of condition is very difficult today!!! If you are a collector/investor, the price of this record will just rise and rise. This record would be an essential addition to any high grade UK 1st press collection. You will not see another in such beautiful condition!!! Don't miss this one!!! Good Luck!!!
I have made this auction private to respect the winners privacy due to the high value of this record.

We always combine postage so if you win more than 1 auction you save money on postage costs! Being the responsible adults you are, it is entirely up to you to take this up - we strongly advise you to do this but will not hassle you about it. You either add the required insurance or you don't. If you do add the required insurance and your record is lost/damaged, you will get a refund. If you don't add the required insurance and your record is lost/damaged, you will not get a refund. Can we be any clearer? I think not.

Refunds & Feedback ... Please read this carefully ... We try to give you the best quality examples of rare records available. However, there will always be somebody out there whose expectations far exceed UK record collector grading standards. If you are in anyway unsatisfied with your record or our grading of it please refer to the UK Record Collector Grading Chart very carefully BEFORE emailing us. We strictly adhere to it and will only offer refunds (minus the postage AND our eBay costs) if we are satisfied that we have fallen below UK record collector grading standards. This will very rarely, if ever, happen. We will not be impressed with buyers disputing our gradings without even bothering to check the UK record collector grading standards chart first - you have been warned ...
Buyers who continually Haggle, Whine and Moan to try to decrease the price they won their auctions for will be blocked from bidding on future auctions and can toodle off down to HMV or Virgin where they can harass the counter staff there.
We will always leave feedback upon receipt of feedback. In an ideal world we would like to leave feedback as soon as the record has been shipped but due to feedback blackmail in the past (i,e, ",,,I want a partial refund or I will leave negative feedback") we have opted to take this measure. Contact must be made within 3 days of winning the auction. If payment has not been received after 10 days a non paying bidder alert will be placed. If payment is then not received within 7 days Negative feedback WILL be left and the buyer WILL be given a strike by eBay. Thanks for reading.
