Stunning Original 1973 Earliest UK 1st Pressing 'Houses of The Holy' by Led Zeppelin!!! Extra Thick & Chunky 1st Press Vinyl w/ Correct 'Sterling' Matrix Etching and  'Superhype' + 'Made in UK' Label Credits and NO Warner Logos!!!  Complete w/ Original 'Textured' Inner Sleeve &'Thick Carded' Un-laminated MacNeill Press 1st Issue Gatefold Sleeve!!! In Stunning Condition Throughout!!!

From my own pristine Nr Mint collection of rare 1960's & 70's 1st Press Prog/Psych/Rock & Folk, you are bidding on one of Led Zeppelin's most sought - after UK 1st pressings; the mega-scarce true UK 1st pressing of 'Houses of The Holy'!!! There is a lot of honest confusion and dishonest misrepresentation surrounding this legendary record - however I can assure you what you are bidding on here is the TRUE earliest UK 1st pressing of 'Houses of the Holy'!!! This true UK 1st press record has a number of very important features that all later pressings do not have. Firstly the label credits, as with the debut album, have the 'Superhype' publishing credits!!!  This is very important as all later common labels have the Warner credits instead - if it does not have the Superhype credits then it is not a true UK 1st pressing!!! Secondly and just as importantly, this record has NO Warner logos around the rim text!!! Further, this has the important 'sterling' matrix etching n the Side 2 matrix, also identifying it as the first pressing!!! Also the sheer weight and thickness of this record also tells you it as the true UK 1st press - it weighs a ton!!! All later pressings were pressed on much thinner flimsy 1970's vinyl!!! Lastly, a note regarding the sleeve and inner. This is correct 1st Issue MacNeill Press sleeve that came with he record!! These 1st press sleeves were un-laminated and suffered terrible wear, subsequently, there is a lot of swapping over of sleeves to later 'shiny' ones. Please rest assured that this is the correct un-laminated original 1st press sleeve that came with the record!!! It is also in superb condition. It comes with it's original 1st press 'textured' feel inner sleeve. Only the original inner sleeve had this 'textured' feel. all later ones were made on shiny paper!!! I hope I have gone some way to pointing out the differences between, this, the rare UK 1st pressing, and all later copies. I often see later pressings being passed off for 1st's, please do not be duped, this is the one and only UK 1st pressing - the real deal!!! Don't miss it!!!

1st Press 'Superhype' Credit on Labels

No Warner Logos on Centre Labels!

This LP is in absolutely pristine condition throughout!!! The vinyl has a beautiful unblemished glass-like sheen!!! The Classic 1st Pressing centre labels with the all important 'Superhype' and 'Made in The UK' Credits are in Nr. Mint condition!!! They have NO Tears, NO Scribbles and NO unwanted writing of any kind!!! They have just the faintest light trace of a solitary spindle line on each side and that's it!!! All in all these labels are fantastic, this record looks as if it has only been played once or twice ever!!! The gramophone rims containing the all important matrix's are also mint!!! As described above - the vinyl itself is in Stunning condition!!! NO Scratches, No hairlines, NO scuffing, NO Groovewear, NO warping, in fact - NO blemishes of any kind save for one or two of the lightest almost invisible wispy non-sounding lines, caused simply by removing the record from its inner!!! This vinyl is Ex++ - as simple as that!!! I am very pleased to state that plays as good as it looks with NO Pops, NO Jumps, NO Skips and NO hissing!!!  I can say nothing else about this chunky 1st press record - it's almost as perfect an example as you will see!!! The classic MacNeill Press 1st issue gatefold sleeve is also in STUNNING condition!!! It retains all of its original stiffness and has unbelievably sharp corners!!! The sleeve lies perfectly FLAT with NO RING WEAR and a good strong spine!! The satin finish on this sleeve has to be seen to be believed - the colours are still as bright and vibrant  as they were when new, in fact it looks like it has just been purchased!!! The photos really do not do it justice!!! It is a beautiful looking sleeve!!! It has NONE of the 'rub' so common with this sleeve!!! The very rare 1st press sleeve easily grades as Ex+ and is one of the nicest-looking examples you will ever see!!! A beautiful sleeve!!! Of course, the LP comes with its ORIGINAL 'textured' lyric-printed inner sleeve!!! It is absolutely perfect, with NO unwanted writing/scribbles, NO creases and NO seam splitting at all- which is very rare for these fragile inners!!!  This rare 1st press inner easily grades as Nr Mint!!! This record will come shipped to you in a replacement standard inner sleeve, with the original tucked safely inside the outer jacket for protection!!!
