Do you think the original Atlantic turquoise label edition is a rare issue??? How many copies have you seen in eBay??? (Check out Popsike, 35 this year, until July, 214 since 2003). It seems to be not to be so "rare". Yes, too many copies for a so "rare" record... But here's a REAL RARITY of Led Zeppelin!!! Or should we tell Led Seppelin???

EXTREMEY ULTRARARE and hard-to-find Atlantic Records very first press released in Chile in 1970 and issued by Philips label, catalog number 33-216 (licensed from Atlantic USA catalog number SD 8216), with red Atlantic labels, error in tracklist and ZEPPELIN misspelled “SEPPELIN” in the labels!!! WOW!!! WHAT A GREAT FIND!!! NO MORE THAN 300 COPIES were pressed!!!

The cover is very thin and fragile, very different to all other issues of the world. In Chile the cover is simply a thin cardboard folded in 2 parts inside a plastic bag to keep both sides joined. The front cover it’s in VG+ condition, no marks, no writings, no bends, just some wrickles in the right side of the cover. The back cover has in one of the edges a miss part, the rest look in VG conditions .  The record is in superb EX+ condition, glossy, clean, sounds perfect. Labels on both sides are in NM condition, absolutely clean and clear. The sound is in strong EX or even EX+ condition, loud, clear and clean, virtually no background noise (surface noise was normal in most of records from Chile), and only some very light crackles and soft pops here and there which don’t distract at all, overall a fabulous record with a superb sound quality after almost 40 years!!! 

Well, original first press of LED ZEPPELIN’s first album sure it’s a great find in any condition but this copy is really a must to have. In Chile this album was released in 1970 with an UNIQUE different cover, already described, tracklist in Spanish (translated to English), a different catalog number and a red label Atlantic. But the real rarities are the very first Chilean press of this album was Mono!!!, not in Stereo, but released in a Stereo cover (the Matrix number is ST-A 681461 which proves it should have been a Stereo release, but it's MONO!!!) and the labels have the name of the band misspelled “LED SEPPELIN”!!! This is an EXTREMELY RARE RECORD, an UNIQUE issue that fans and collectors shouldn’t let it go away. ONE IN A KIND!!! It's the only edition worldwide with this incredible error!!! AND ONLY 300 COPIES WERE PRESSED before the real Stereo release!!! And more, this jewel has even another error, the song “Me estremeciste” is correctly translated in the label “You shook me” but in the back cover is misspelled “You shoock me”!!! Did you think it’s impossible to get so many errors? Well, the time of “El lado de la montaña negra” (Black mountain side) is written in the back cover 3:06 minutes, but it’s only 2:06 minutes and the time of “Cuantas veces más” (How many more times) is written 3:30 minutes but it plays for 8:30 minutes!!! Crazy!!! Not crazy the long time of that song, crazy to see so many errors!!! (even though it's said Jimmy Page listed this song 3:30 minutes on the record cover to trick the radio stations into playing the song). And in the back cover is written “Grabación distribuída por DISCOS PHILIPS” and it should be “Grabación distribuida por DISCOS PHILIPS” (Recording distributed by Philips Records), the word “distribuída” is mispressed… again… How many copies were released with all these errors in Chile? No more than 300!!! This is the chance to get this rarity now and specially considering the superb condition this copy is... tomorrow it could be too late... 

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so BID NOW and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again…

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
