Description
Houses of the Holy is the fifth album by the British band Led Zeppelin. It breaks with the tradition of previous albums by having a non-eponymous title. It also marks a certain distance from the strong blues vein that had impregnated previous works, in exchange for opening up to other styles such as reggae or soul. It was produced by Jimmy Page and mixed by Eddie Kramer and all instruments and vocals were provided by the band members. Critical reception at the time was mixed but in retrospective reviews it has been hailed and included on various rock and roll lists such as the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's list of the 200 Greatest Albums Ever (#51). and Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time of 2020 (#278). Definitely a classic album that you must have in your vinyl collection. Now released in a Gatefold Deluxe Special Edition with a fantastic 12-page booklet containing the history behind the album and amazing photos (booklet is in Spanish) and a 180 Gram Vinyl for collectors.
