Description

LED ZEPPELIN - HOUSES OF THE HOLY - ORIGINAL 1973 ATLANTIC RECORDS STEREO LP SD-7255 Pressing with BROADWAY address label, Orange and Green Original (not a record club pressing). *** THE BROADWAY pressing is the 1st press. Most editions of the Ludwig stamped version have the later 75 Rockefeller address.

ORIGINAL 1st U.S. PRESSING BOB LUDWIG MASTERING (RL etched on both sides)

 ·       This is a rare Bob Ludwig-mastered “hot pressing” of this album, with his initials “RL” (Robert Ludwig) etched in the trail-off vinyl of the disc. All the wonderful elements of Bob Ludwig’s trademark mastering style are here: incredible clarity and balanced channel separation, vivid and spacious “ambience” sound, as well as wide dynamic and frequency range of the sound spectrum.  As is almost always the case with Bob Ludwig’s masterings, the Bob Ludwig-mastered pressings of this album are CONSIDERABLY rarer than the regular, non-Ludwig copies of this album.

 CONDITION:

·       ORIGINAL GATEFOLD COVER is VG+. Slight wear mostly on the top edge and corners. Very nice

 ·       VINYL is VG+ (closer to EX but rating conservatively). Only very minor surface sleeve marks that do not effect play whatsoever. DEAD QUIET. ***I have played this on a Technics SL-D20 with a Grado Black Cart. Your equipment may pick up noise mine doesn't

INCLUDES ORIGINAL INNER SLEEVE with two pen mark notations near two song titles. Vinyl is kept in a separate poly-lined sleeve for extra protection

·       THE RECORD HAS A 'STERLING' STAMP IN THE TRAIL-OFF VINYL (DEAD WAX) AREA, WHICH IS GENERALLY CONSIDERED A PROOF OF AUTHENTICITY OF THE BOB LUDWIG "HOT" PRESSING.
