Description

  • Led Zeppelin released their fifth studio album "Houses Of The Holy" in March 1973 on Atlantic Records. It hit No. 1 on the charts around the world including both the U.K. and the U.S.  Many critics have it on their list of greatest albums of all time.

  • This copy (SD 7255) is from an early 1974 pressing and is in excellent condition. The gatefold cover shows only the slightest edge wear and is easily VG+ as is the linen Inner Lyrics Sleeve. Please see the pictures. The disc test plays cleanly and is also VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was mastered by Bob Ludwig at Sterling Sound in NYC and was pressed by Monarch Record Mfg. Co. in Los Angeles. The Side One dead wax is etched ST-A-732783-EE ex (MR) +?17787 (4) AT STERLING RL PR except the Monarch (MR) logo and Sterling which is stamped.

  • In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.

  • Free shipping is included in the special corrugated album mailer seen in the last picture.This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 47 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
