Description

Up for auction is a rare, collectible first pressing of Led Zeppelin's 1969 "Led Zeppelin II" LP on Atlantic Records (SD-8236). I'm the original owner. It was mastered by Bob Ludwig (RL) and is widely acclaimed as the best sounding version of this LP by far! The lead out grooves say: Side One (ST-A-691671 C RL SS P LW W AT) and Side Two (ST-A-691672 A P LW AT RL SS W).  The red/green Atlantic Records label says "1841 Broadway" and does NOT have a WEA logo. It also has PR on the lower part of the label and my understanding is that it stands for the Puerto Rico pressing plant.  I was the Music Director at a college radio station back in the day when this was released and this was my backup copy. It's been in my collection for over forty years and has only been played a few times and sounds great! Many people call it the "Hot Mix" because of the great sound! The cardboard jacket is in exceptional condition and it even has the original inner paper sleeve. Please look at my other LPs (including Led Zeppelin III!) now up for auction on eBay.
Because of its age though, it's being sold "as is" with a low opening bid and no reserve. Please look at our other electronics auctions currently on eBay and ask all questions prior to the end of the auction as all sales are final. An invoice will be sent to the winning bidder within twenty four hours of the auction's end with payment (PayPal preferred) due within five days The buyer is responsible for shipping and insurance charges. International buyers are welcomed!
