This LP was a revelation when first heard in 1969, and still sounds JUST as vital and strong today - unsurpassed!
There's another retrospective repacking on cd, just released, but THIS is the way to hear and hold their power-prog recordings - on the original pressed vinyl.
A nice copy here too, in TOP playing condition - I am selling a collection of original LPs that are almost all MINT.
I just LOVE the simplicity of a late 60's Stereo mix, it takes your brain across those speakers and spins it around - NONE of this over-mixing where everything and the kitchen sink is 'placed', so there's eventually nothing special about the sound at all - I want to be moved WITH it!
John Bonham's cymbals are CRISP and crystal clear, the presence on the guitar chords or solos, is pristine. The bass notes bulge out totally undistorted, the vocal drive sounds more wonderfully frantic when you can focus on it like this! ASTOUNDING music that's almost like the first time of hearing it, in this BREATHTAKING clarity.
The vinyl is MINT, clean and sounding top notch!
