RED / PLUM ATLANTIC 588198
VERY VERY VERY RARE WRECK mispress
IN VERY GOOD ++ CONDITION SLEEVE AND VINYL
MATRIX A2 114 and B2 - 118 - RARE
please read on:
This is the original 1st PRESS of LED ZEPPELIN'S 'Led Zeppelin II' in ORIGINAL GATEFOLD COVER. WRECK error and early LEMON SONG credit before they had to change it.
The delicate cover is still in great condition, does have some scuffing and fraying on the edges. The vinyl visually has lots of surface marks, mostly like paper scuffs - no major deep scratches or anything.
THE SLEEVE
Some wear on edges of cover etc but for this delicate cover its still very very good compared to many out there.
Some wear to spine spine, HOWEVER writing still clearly visible and not crushed.
I bought this record 24 years ago and has been kept in a plastic sleeve ever since and taken out a handful of times, any wear was done previous to me having it.I managed to get quite a few with wreck error, but this
was the only one I bought that did not jump or have loud pops. There is background crackle and static and would probably rate at V Good +.
INNER SLEEVE
Has original inner sleeve in excellent condition, colour has changed (like an old book) but no tears, rips, writing - some slight creasing - British Patent No - 800513 & 973939 bottom left, MADE IN ENGLAND bottom
right and also has 'PLASTIC BAGS CAN BE DANGEROUS' etc.. bottom middle.
VINYL
Visually I have looked at it many times and as I mentioned there are surface marks.
I have played the record full blast and it still sounds Very Good (not sure rest of the street agree), there are crackles, NO pops, NO jumps as I said
I have probably played it 3 times in the past 20+ years, the last time was today - FANTASTIC.
LABELS
Fantastic condition - NO writing, NO stickers, Very clean and retain original bright colour.
