This auction is for the  rare second album miss print of THANKYOU (connected) instead of the correct THANK YOU on the label. This label version was immediately retracted to be replaced with the correct spelling. Most Plum/red labels you find will have the correction applied. As such this is very rare and desirable!

Led Zeppelin II A2/B2 Atlantic 588198 UK 1969 Red/Plum Label  
This very rare and highly collectable first pressing on the red/plum label has the  'Livin' Lovin' Maid' credit on the label as well as the 'The Lemon Song' credit of course.  This is one of the most collectable Led Zeppelin albums today.
It also has the original E.J Day light brown gatefold.
As per the first pressings it has the 'Copyright Control' publishing credits rather than the 'Warner Bros/Jewel Music' which is on the later pressings.  The matrix numbers also confirm this to be one of the very first off the 'production line'.

Vinyl: VG+ . Great heavy first UK press vinyl . A beautiful glossy vinyl.  Under a strong light only the very lightest wispy retraction paper traces can be seen. There are a few very wispy hairlines and this LP is still well above average condition with so many thrashed and unloved. Any LP will have retraction traces as soon as they are taken out of its sleeve.  I subjected the record to a detailed listen on my high end system and it did not disappoint. This sounded better than any re-issue like only a first press can. Lovely channel separation without any distortion or crackle. A couple of very low level ticks on Whole Lotta Love, easily masked by the powerful audio.

Gatefold sleeve:  VG+ .  A great gatefold sleeve and the original matt light brown one for this first UK press version. Some storage wear to the top and bottom edges. A crisp opening without any tears. No seam split although to the top edge a small area is wearing thin.This is a very hard sleeve to find in such above average condition as it is matt and many owners did not look after their albums properly. This copy is well preserved and has been carefully stored as all other albums from this wonderful prog collection. A  spine which is still fully legible. The inside gatefold is near mint. NO tears and just a couple of light thumb creases.  Some ring to the rear. More from this wonderful collection will be listed in the near future.

This album also retains the original blue printed inner in fine fettle.
