VERY RARE!!! This is the Original well sought after and Impossible to Find 1969 UK Earliest 1st Pressing on the Red/Plum Atlantic Label Cat No. 588198 One of Zeppelins Rarest Ever - Special Because it's the Earliest 1st Pressing Ever Made with the Rare 'LIVIN LOVIN WRECK' Miscredit on the Side 2 Label Instead of the Correct 'Livin Lovin Maid' on the Label - Only a Very Few were ever Made and Released Before the Printing Mistake was Quickly identified and corrected Immediately and as a Result Impossible to Find any Copies in any Condition - Also the label Lists 'THE LEMON SONG' Credit- Later issues list it as the 'Killing Floor' on all later Pressings - In the Original Light Brown EJ Day Cover and Inner Sleeve
Original Rare Sought after UK 9-Track Stereo Vinyl LP in a Gatefold Picture Sleeve & Inner Sleeve 1969 UK Earliest 1st Pressing on the 'Red/Plum' ATLANTIC Labels - Record Label Cat. No.: 588198
Rare Earliest 1st Press Matrix Stampers: 588198 As2 & Bs2
The Vinyl shows some visible spindle wear marks and trails but not over obvious and noticable the labels are still both in excellent clean condition - Still has all it's Original lustre and Jet black glossy shiny sheen across the thick heavy vinyl - On the vinyl surfaces it does show moderate surface marking and hairline traces that have accumulated over it's 40 year life span from being played regularly - On the recent Playback assessment the Record still Plays with it's amazing original sound clarity and sheer quality of sound along with fantastic stereo production that fills the room Just as you would expect from the earliest 1st pressings but on the quieter run in grooves from track to track intros and start of the vocals you do get the occasional crackle/pop but on this Album as most of the tracks the Band builds up the sound level of a Runaway train so it dosen't affect or interfere with playback sound quality that much and is mostly un-noticable due to the immense loud quality of sound - The only disappointment is it jumps twice in quick succession near the begining of 'Heartbreaker' 1st track on side 2 due to a scratch across the track then carries on through to the end
This Cover being a non laminated Sleeve is probably THE worst manfactured cover that Led Zeppelin ever released and is near on impossible for keeping in a reasonable presentable condition this one has suffered from the usual negligible colour lifting in places and overall discolourment for it's age on the front/back also shows some negligible edge and ring wear mainly due to the storage process over the last 40 years against other Albums The inside of gatefold when open is in excellent condition showing all it's original colours and printing -The Spine shows down the side some age wear and some parts of the writing are starting to wear away 'ATLANTIC 588198' is still visible and readable but 'LED ZEPPELIN 2' is just about visible - With No other obvious tears, splits, ink marks or stickers to be seen
