Description
We offer for your consideration a the highly sought-after, original Led Zeppelin II LP created in 1979 by the Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs (MFSL) High-Quality Original Masters Audiophile with Extended Dynamic Range on Virgin Vinyl, MFSL 1-065. And to make this album even sweeter, it has the gold stamped "Demonstration Copy - Not For Sale" on the cover.
The thick, gate-fold album cover and black and white MFSL cardboard insert as well as the padded sleeve and vinyl are the best I have seen in years. Pretty close to mint condition, depending on your grading system. The vinyl is as shinny as a "bald man sitting in church" with no scuffs or scratches. Appears to have never been on a turntable. The original white MFSL label is spotless. This is the original first U.S. pressing.
The cover (as well as MFSL insert) has no edge wear, pen or pencil marks, stains, faded color (inside and out), no drill holes or cut corners, saw marks, no chips or dents in the seams, no labels or price tags, no residue from glue or wax labels and no bar codes.
Some music historians strongly agrue that the 1969 Led Zeppelin II was the beginning of Heavy Metal. My brother was a musician at night and sold records by day back in the 1960s and 70s. He contends "this album is the true beginning of Metal, but on a masterful, classy and controlled environment. No other band has captured or improved this sound. Once you heard "Whole Lotta Love" Zeppelin absorbed music fans by the tens of millions - from the Head Bangers to the Bikers, Dopers, Rockers and even the Opera Snobs in the Balcony. It would be factual to say, this album ranks as the Operatic Anthem of that Generation. Superb, master musicians and vocals."
I have included several pictures for you to see this beauty. Please email any questions.
