Description
LED ZEPPELIN – LED ZEPPELIN II (SECOND ALBUM) – ORIGINAL 1969 ATLANTIC RECORDS STEREO LP SD-8236
· ORIGINAL U.S. PRESSING
· THIS IS THE ORIGINAL BOB LUDWIG MASTERING; HIS INITIALS (R)OBERT (L)UDWIG ARE STAMPED IN THE DEAD WAX / TRAIL-OFF VINYL ON BOTH SIDES OF THE DISC. All the wonderful elements of Bob Ludwig’s trademark mastering style are here: incredible clarity and balanced channel separation, vivid and spacious “ambience” sound, as well as wide dynamic and frequency range of the sound spectrum. As is almost always the case with Bob Ludwig’s masterings, the Bob Ludwig-mastered pressings of this album are CONSIDERABLY rarer than the regular, non-Ludwig copies of this album.
· ALSO: TRAIL OF VINYL (DEAD WAX) IS CONSIDERABLY SHORTER ON ONE SIDE THAN ON THE OTHER, WHICH CAN ONLY BE FOUND ON BOB LUDWIG-MASTERED COPIES.
· ORIGINAL U.S. PRESSING
· ORIGINAL RED (ORANGE) AND GREEN ATLANTIC RECORDS LABEL WITH 1841 BROADWAY, NY ADDRESS.
· THIS IS THE ORIGINAL, AUTHENTIC, FIRST U.S. PRESSING; THIS IS NOT A REISSUE, AN IMPORT, OR A COUNTERFEIT PRESSING.
· ORIGINAL GATEFOLD COVER, MADE OF THICK CARDBOARD (AMERICAN STYLE)
· ORIGINAL "TEXTURED" (CRUDE FINISH) COVER.
· THICK, HEAVY VINYL PRESSING
· CLEAN, WEAR-FREE LABELS
· MATRIX NUMBERS ON THIS PRESSING ARE: ST-A-691671-A...LW....W....AT...RL...(SIDE 1) AND ST-A-691672-A...LW....AT...RL...SS....W (SIDE 2); ALL CHARACTERS ARE HAND-ETCHED, NOT MACHINE-STAMPED
(?PLEASE SEE THE IMAGE OF THE COVER, LABEL OR BOTH, SHOWN BELOW)

a) WE GRADE THE VINYL In Vg++ on one side and the other EXCELLENT. A few light abrasions ARE visible, but they are extremely shallow, superficial and only moderately visually distracting (nothing significant). The record was tested and plays great with minimal background noise...
(b) The record comes in the original stock inner sleeve.
(c) The record is pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic.
THE COVER IS NICE --- ABOUT EXCELLENT OR VERY GOOD+++...With some corner and edge wear but overall a very nice copy with no writing or splits...see pics...we combine shipping $1 each additional LP
