Description

LED ZEPPELIN II - Vinyl LP Original Bob Ludwig "Hot Mix" with RL etched on both sides. This variant has the following matrix:

  • Matrix / Runout (Side A Runout Variant 1): ST-A-691671-C RL SS P LW W AT
  • Matrix / Runout (Side B Runout Variant 1): ST-A-691672-A P LW AT RL SS W

RARE  US 1st pressing (with the 1841 Broadway address on the labels), featuring Robert Ludwig's "hot" mastering on both sides. These were withdrawn early because the high bass levels caused low-grade cartridges to mistrack, leading people to return the album on the belief that it was defective. Another engineer was then hired to recut a much less "hot" version of the album, and that is the far more common version. 
CONDITION: Vinyl is VG with some obvious surface marks, mostly due to the paper sleeve rub but also a few marks from use. There is some pop and crackle that can be heard, especially during quiet parts. No skips on my system. Overall, a good players copy to enjoy.
Cover is VG. Has some obvious edge and corner wear and overall age wear. Could be considered closer to VG+ by some. No major splitting on the seams. Includes the original inner sleeve.

*** NOTE: No returns on this due to the age and rarity. I've unfortunately had issues with a couple of buyers "swapping out" LP's on me during returns in the past, particularly with rare albums. For that reason, I don't take returns on opened rare vinyl. It's described accurately. If you're looking for a VG+ or EX copy then it's not for you.
