Description
Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Led Zeppelin III' 1970 PLUM ATLANTIC first press vinyl LP in overall VERY GOOD+/EXCELLENT condition.
This particular pressing features the highly collectible FIRST PRESS plum/orange Atlantic label with a working spinning wheel!
Artist: Led Zeppelin
Title: 3 (III)
Catalogue Number: 2401 002
Year: 1970
Number of Tracks: 10
Matrix Numbers: A5 B7 (Do what thou wilt / So mote it be)
Condition:
Vinyl (visual): Side 1 - a couple of very small, light hairline scratches - nothing feelable or deep!! A lovely gloss and shine. Rated as EXCELLENT-! Label is EXCELLENT+! Side 2 - there are a few more marks than Side 1, one small feelable mark to the first track but still has a lovely gloss and shine. Rated as VERY GOOD/VERY GOOD+. Label is EXCELLENT+.
Audio: AUDIO GRADE TO FOLLOW! I have played the first track of Side 1 and rate that at EXCELLENT so hopefully the rest of the album should play the same...PLEASE MESSAGE ME IF YOU WOULD LIKE AN URGENT AUDIO GRADING!
Inner Sleeve: Please note that the plain white inner sleeve is split all over the place and doesn't really house the record very well...I have stored the record in the inner sleeve, outside of the outer sleeve and then placed this into a plastic wallet for sake-keeping. I will include the plastic wallet in the sale!
Sleeve: The original 1970 gatefold sleeve is currently in VERY GOOD+ condition! A lovely clean UK sleeve with original working wheel! The front is very clean with some slight age-related discolouration only. The inner gatefold has a lovely gloss and no graffiti, rips or tears! The rear of the sleeve is slightly discoloured but clean with some edgewear. The spine is 90% readable - PLEASE SEE ALL PICTURES!! It's a very clean sleeve with no major problems or damage!
PLEASE SEE ALL PICTURES!!!
As with all the vintage records I sell, I advise a deep clean to enhance the sound quality of the record. Overall, a classic Led Zeppelin record that everyone should own!
Any questions, please feel free to ask!
