A True 1st UK Red Plum Pressing in Excellent Condition!!

Over the next week I will be listing all my Led Zeppelin records. All the records will end on Friday the 28th of October, 20 minutes apart. All the records were bought from new, stored in plastic sleeves and properly kept. I will list with absolute honesty so you can bid with confidence.

So on to the record...

Here we have an extremely rare Led Zeppelin record in an extremely rare condition. You dont often 1st presses of this record and never in a real nice condition!!

 This is a true first pressing, with A5 and B5 matrix endings, these are hand etched on to the record and are the first pressing matrixes

This is the closest pressing you can get to the original source!!

Also in the dead wax are the "DO WHAT THOU WILT & SO MOTE IT BE " credits.  Again only attributed to first presses.

Strangely though, the label doesnt credit Peter Grant, but yet it carries all the other signs of a first press!!!

The fully working gatefold wheels sleeve also, is from the original 1970s German release of the record with the SD 7201 catalogue, which is quite baffling!!

The misprint of "Celebration" on the label rather than "Celebration Day" as it is on the sleeve is also present.

These matters only add to the interest of this lovely 1st press.

THE RECORD GRADED FOR AUDIO

The Record plays wonderfully!!  there are no skips, jumps or pops.  Some minor static between tracks that a trained ear could detect but otherwise simply fantastic! 

It is absolutely stunning to listen to. The first pressing engineering is super clear, vibrant and bassy. There is perfect definition to all the elements of the music, it seems to really highlight the dynamics in the songs!! This is the ultimate way to listen to such a spectacular record!!  I dont think I have heard Immigrant Song sound any better!!  This is the way to hear Led Zeppelin!! Nr MINT

THE RECORD GRADED VISUALLY

Thickly pressed quality vinyl with jet black mirror like surfaces That have that just pressed look!!. A magnificent vintage classic. Against a strong halogen light and angled at 45 degrees , There are NO surface marks only a few light hairline scratches

and NO blemishes at all!! Only a few very tiny wispy faint line are visible whatsoever !!!!. A remarkable visual and impossible to locate even  in this in condition! The vinyl has a beautiful full sheen which would be impossible to find on a record of nearly 40 years!!!!....EXCELLENT+

THE OUTER SLEEVE

First German issue fully laminated Ernest J. Day patents pending sleeve is in superb condition for a record of nearly 40 years old!!!..Showing virtually no signs of wear at all!!! Only very minor storage wear and no ringwear,with only a miniscule amount of laminate creasing to the edges and very slight signs of discolouring. The sleeve has NO rips,NO tears and absolutely NO graffiti or stickers whatsoever!!!,and is a pleasure to view.The sleeve would therefore easily grade as excellent + condition!!! and is a Fantastic collectors item . The Spine is perfectly straight and clearly legible with only a mild raising of the lamainate being the only minor thing to mention. This is a fine example of this sensational ATLANTIC classic !!!..this sleeve is in a full nice square shape, with some very mild storage wear at the edges and corners!!!EXCELLENT+

THE INNER SLEEVE

Pretty much mint, some light creasing and maybe a mild sign of discolouring to a perfect eye!!. Nr MINT

This truely is a belter!!!

You dont often see 1st presses with hand etched A5/B5 matrix endings and even more rarely do you see them in this great a condition!! The sound is undeniably stunning.

I bought this from a shop brand new and have only owned one other copy, so the fact it is housed in an original German sleeve is all the more interesting!! 

This is a real audiophiles dream!!

This is an album you should buy and hide, it can only increase in value.
