Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Led Zeppelin III' first press vinyl LP!
This particular pressing is the first pressing of Led Zeppelin III, released in 1970, on the Plum/Orange Atlantic label. This particular pressing has 'Do What Thou Wilt' and 'So Mote It Be' etched into the run out grooves and features the Peter Grant credits, indicating a first UK pressing. DO NOT MISS OUT!!!

Condition:
Vinyl (visual): Side 1 - light hairline scratches only - nothing feelable! Looks like it has been played but well looked-after. Rated as VERY GOOD/VERY GOOD+. Label is VERY GOOD+ Side 2 - same as Side 1 with 2 lightly feelable marks to Track 1.
Audio: I have play tested the first two songs on each side ONLY!!! I can confirm that these 4 tracks played with NO STICKS, NO SKIPS and NO JUMPS on my system! There is some crackle on the run-in and then some background crackle throughout but it never overpowers the music. It is very punchy with crisp highs and a lovely rich bass. A few small light pops here and there but these may clean out. The above mentioned marks on Side 2, Track 1 cause no major issues and no skips, jumps or sticks! These 4 tracks would grade as VERY GOOD/VERY GOOD+.
Sleeve: The original 1970 gatefold sleeve is currently rated as VERY GOOD/VERY GOOD+. The front has a working wheel with a nice white gloss and some marks and slight creasing towards the edging. It appears as if the top and bottom of the front of the sleeve have been re-glued but NOT over the wheel, allowing it to spin freely, just like it should. It's a similar story on the inner gatefold where it looks as if someone may have re-glued the sleeve (PICTURED). Doesn't affect functionality and is holding up well and houses the record perfectly well. The inner gatefold is clean and free from writing but does have some slight discolouration towards the edges and some marks from the front wheel fastener. The rear of the sleeve is clean and free form writing but again, light marks and discolouration. The sleeve is square and 100% readable. PLEASE SEE ALL PICTURES!
