2401002 - UK 1970
UK 1st press
with "SO MOTE IT BE" and "DO WHAT THOU WILT" etched into the run-out grooves indicating the very first press!! This is the very rare first issue of this stunner with the fully connected catalogue number 2401002 (as opposed to 240-1002). On the label is the "Peter Grant credited as executive producer. Later Plum/red issues DID NOT have this. "Produced by Jimmy Page is in the top red field. Later issues had this credit on the bottom of the label in the plum field. This has 2 SIDE TWO labels. An unheard of error and this is most likely the ONLY ONE and absolutely UNIQUE!!!!
The album has TWO side two labels. This is the first time I have ever come across this and I think it is absolutely unique!!!
Vinyl: EX-. I have played this in full> There are NO jumps, NO clicks and NO sticks!!! Under a strong light a few wispy hairlines but these cannot be heard on replay. Sometimes light static can be heard, mainly between the tracks in the silent grooves. The audio is stunning all the way and this album sounds fantastic. Hardly ever spotted with two the same labels on either side of the vinyl.This got through quality control and is a fine collectable and very desirable for any Zep collector.
Sleeve: EX. Fully laminated. No stickers, NO writing, NO smudges. This is the original UK sleeve!! Most of the UK vinyls were paired with either a USA or a German sleeve as there was a shortage of sleeves in the UK. This is one of the very few that has an original UK sleeve WITHOUT printed in Germany to the back. The spinning wheel is topnotch and fully working. NO creasing and the edges are deadstraight. A great sleeve and a keeper for sure!!!

Inner: EX. The original blue printed polylined inner sleeve has hardly any sign of use.
This is a unique investment opportunity!!! Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible so late in the day esp. in this formidable condition.
