Description
Led Zeppelin’s third magnificent album, catalogue No. 2401002 on the UK Atlantic Red/Plum label. This is the EARLIEST FIRST UK PRESS with the PETER GRANT EXECUTIVE PRODUCER label credits. The later labels omit the Grant credit and are the far more common type with the 'under license from Atlantic Recording Corp, USA' printed INSIDE the white band. This copy has that legend OUTSIDE the white band in the red part of the label. Also, this pressing has the 'Do What Thou Wilt' and 'So Mote It Be' hand etched into the dead wax by Jimmy Page himself. The matrices are the earliest A5 and B5 respectively. The vinyl is in VG+ condition with a few marks and some occasional surface crackle and light clicks. Nothing major ! The beautiful Jimmy Page designed sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition with BARELY ANY WEAR to the edges. The spine is superb with no defects and the wheel still turns perfectly. There is some slight discolouration which is to be expected for a sleeve this age. All in all, a great RARE copy of this EARLIEST FIRST UK PRESSING !!
