Description
Led Zeppelin III-Classic vinyl LP on Atlantic 2401002
Released in 1970 this is the first press of the album with all the indicators of this rare version.
1.Matrix number A5 with'do what thou wilt'in the dead wax,and matrix number B5 with 'so mote it be' in the dead wax- all hand etched.
2.The labels show Peter Grant as Executive Producer,
3.The catalogue number 2401002 appears on the label without a hyphen.
The vinyl is in excellent condition, with some surface marks, which do not affect playback. There are no cracks, pops etc,and the sound is clear and undistorted throughout.
The labels are bright and undamaged but do have some marks as shown in the photos.
The laminated gatefold sleeve is in excellent condition. The edges show very slight rubbing, but otherwise there are no marks or damage. The wheel works smoothly. The spine is clean and tight. There is some yellowing to the laminate on the edges of the sleeve, but there is minimal cracking and no tears.
Overall, this is an excellent example of this superb, rare, album.
