Description
A chance to get your hands on a great condition 1st UK pressing of Led Zeppelin III, an album that’s becoming more collectible with every day! The album has been in my possession since the 70’s and as it’s been stored away over the past 35 years I thought it’s time to let somebody else have the pleasure of owning it.
Obviously all the information regarding this pressing can be seen in the photographs and you can see what great overall condition it’s actually in, well above the average available for sale.
Here’s my rating:
Sleeve: VG+ to Ex.
Would have easily rated it Ex had it not been for the blue inked name on the upper right of the front(see Photo) The pen mark has nearly disappeared but has left minor indentations in the laminate.
Apart from that the sleeve is in remarkable condition, no creases and the spine is not cracked, hardly any wear on the seams. One corner(front bottom right) has minimal wear. The spinning wheel is like new. The first time I’ve ever turned it was to test it before eBaying the album. Sleeve showing some signs of age appropriate yellowing which is only to be expected for an album that’s over 45 years old. Apart from the slightly worn corner the lamination is still intact.
Inner sleeve: VG+
The original inner in great shape apart from crease to one lower corner. Yellowing to edges due to age.
Labels: Ex
The labels are in excellent condition, Bright with no wear or mottling.
Record: VG
Despite the record having some surface scratches that produce noises during the intervals there is nothing that affects the overall play through, The most noticeable scratch is on side Two covering some of “The Gallows Pole” though the track plays fine.
