Rare UK original second pressing on the plum Atlantic label.
This is the pressing without the Peter Grant production credit on the labels. Housed in the correct UK laminated gatefold wheel sleeve. There is a misprint on the rear of the sleeve. This copy is in superb condition and plays beautifully.
The sleeve is easily in excellent + condition. There are no tears, no writing, no splits, no bends. There is just the most minimal of rubbing on the corners, otherwise just the lightest touch of shelf/handling wear. Would be nearly impossible to upgrade.
The rotating wheel is also in near mint condition and works freely in both directions without sticking.
The credits on the rear credit "J. E. Day Group" for the sleeve, i assume it should be E. J. Day as it was in the 1960's.
The labels are in near mint condition. No writing, no tears, no spindle wear and just a couple of ultra light and very short spider marks on each side. You can see from these labels that the record has barely been played. They do not contain the Peter Grant credit that you find on the first pressings.

The vinyl on this copy is wonderful, so much better condition than you usually see on these Led Zeppelin originals. It still has its original sheen and in daylight looks mint. When angled under two 50 watt halogen spotlights side one looks near mint with nothing to report. Side two is excellent with just some ultra light wispy paper scuffs/lines. There are no scratches and no long hairlines on either side.
Playback is easily as good the visual grade with a wonderful strong, clear and vibrant sound. There is no evidence of groovewear at all. Playback is almost flawless. We have played it on a sensitive set up with Nagaoka cartridge and Nagaoka elliptical diamond stylus through Mordaunt Short speakers. This shows up even the slightest of problems.

Our grading is strict so as not to disappoint, we have been selling on ebay since 1998 and know how important this is. Grading of records is done with the record angled under two 50 watt halogen spot lights. Scans are of actual item up for auction. All records are packed securely and most importantly packed outside of the picture sleeve (in a plain inner sleeve) so as to avoid seam splits during shipping.
Near Mint
Almost mint. Very minor paper scuffs and very little else can appear on the vinyl. This will most likely have occurred during packaging, or removing the record from the inner sleeve but obviously it had been handled with extreme care. Any flaw should be very hard to see. The cover should look as close to perfect with only minor signs of wear and/or age. Minor impressions to the cover (due to the outer edge of the vinyl resting inside) may be acceptable, however the artwork should be as close to perfect as can be.
Excellent
An excellent condition for vinyl will allow minor scuffs (Scuffs lay on top of the grooves) which are visible but only slightly.The wear should be minimal.The play should be close to perfect as well. Some impression to the cover (minor outer ring wear) but no ink wear. Some slight creases to the corners, but not wrinkled and obtrusive to the eye. The corners can show a little white, meaning slight wear. No seam splits or writing on the cover or taped repairs.
VG++
As Excellent but with a larger number of scuffs, maybe a few hairlines (very light scratch that can't be felt) or a couple of marks on both sides. Sound quality should still be very close to that of an Excellent record with only minor crackle in quiet segments only, NO scratches that can be felt. Cover as Excellent but there may be a small seam split on the cover, or a very minimal amount of writing like a name written in small writing or a number. A VG++ record should be an acceptable record to live with if you aren't looking to pay the price of a Near Mint copy.
