Here is another gem from my own mostly Nr Mint personal collection (which I am selling off gradually to lessen the pain...) I have been collecting very rare vinyl for a long time now. As a collector, I have been very critical about the condition of the records I have chosen to buy over the years, and only selected the most pristine 1st pressings I have found.  My collection is therefore filled with not only the rarest UK 1st pressings, but also records of the highest grade quality condition, some of the best you will probably ever come across. All have been professionally archived and are fresh to the market. Sadly, most now have to find new homes. As I said, I am very strict with my grading, so when I describe a record as Nr Mint - you can rest assured that it will be a true Nr Mint record (I never grade any records as Mint because Mint does not exist unless you own a time machine and go back and bag a job in a 1960's record pressing plant!)

You are bidding on a very special auction here - a truly stunning MINT- ORIGINAL 1970 UK true 1st Pressing of this very RARE UK Led Zeppelin album!!! I have only before seen one true 1st pressing described as approaching the condition of this record, and that again was from my archived collection and sold on ebay recently for a lot of money. For those who missed out on that auction, this is your last change to get a flawless UK 1st pressing of this very rae record!!! This record is perfect in every way, from its MINT- totally unblemished disc and it's beautiful sleeve with its complete lack of wear and its bright vibrant colours (absolutely NONE of the common yellowing!!!) right down to its correct MINT- original poly-lined Atlantic 'warning box' inner sleeve!!! You will not find another true UK 1st in this condition again so don't miss it!!! Although this will fetch a lot of money, whoever wins this auction can rest assured that they will have one of the best copies of this rare record left anywhere today. This is an absolutely essential record for any high grade psych/beat collection - especially in this condition!!!

I have gone into greater detail below but all you really need to know is that, firstly, the actual disc is in stunning Ex+ condition!!! The sleeve is Stunning Nr Mint!!! These sleeves suffered terrible abuse, mainly due to the spinning wheel feature. When these albums turn up nowadays the sleeves are almost always trashed. The wheel mechanisms have usual been broke or even removed. The cut away which allowed access to 'spin' the wheel are usually feathered and ripped and very grubby, not to mention the usual laminate cracking of the spine and corner edge wear. This one is not!!! It is pristine - and the wheel has only ever been spun once or twice from new!!! It is the most beautifully preserved examples of this sleeve that I have ever seen, let alone had the pleasure of owning. Check it out below...

The Classic 1st press Plum/Orange 'matt textured' Atlantic Record centre labels are in stunning Ex+++ condition with NO Tears, NO Peeling, NO Scribbles and NO unwanted writing of any kind!!! There are only the faintest traces of a spindle line or two (only visible when holding the record angled against strong light)!!! The gramophone rims containing the all important 1st press etchings and matrix's are also MINT-!!!

What can I say about the vinyl that I have not already said? The thick & chunky quality pressed vinyl is is superb condition!!! It can be distinguished from later Plum/Orange label pressings by the Do What Thou Wilt' & 'So Mote It Be' matrix etchings on both sides as mentioned above. Please beware of sellers claiming to be selling plum/orange 1st pressings without these matrix etchings, if the record does not have these etchings then it is not a 1st press! Most of these true 1st pressings were played to death in the 1960's and are now very rare, usually only turning up today full of scratches with a dull sheen and totally worn out. This one is NOT!!! It still retains a beautiful sheen!!! The record also still has ALL its original gloss and shine and has NO dulling and NO nasty greying of the grooves!!! It  just one or two of the lightest paper lines!!! I have no hesitation whatsoever with grading this vinyl as a strong Ex+!!! Its as simple as that!!! (suitable for the highest grade Led Zeppelin collection - you will be very hard pushed to find a better example!!) 

The classic 1st press E. J. Day Deluxe gatefold is simply in PRISTINE NR MINT CONDITION!!!  It can be distinguished from later re-pressed sleeve by having the deluxe stamp in the lower bottom right corner on the front and also by having the cat number on the spine. As I mentioned above, on the rare occasions that these sleeves turn up nowadays, they are totally worn out-looking with severe damage to the spinning wheel feature and cut out ,corner & edge wear, stains and ring wear (especially to the back). Suffice to say, these rare 1st press sleeves have not remained in prime condition over the years. THIS SLEEVE IS DIFFERENT!! It is in STUNNING condition with  NO Tears, NO Stains, NO Scribbles and NO unwanted writing of any kind!!!  It is completely blemish free!!! The 9 die-cut circles have NO wear and razor sharp edges and spinning wheel feature is MINT!!!! The spinning wheel access cut-out is also MINT!!! The sleeve lies perfectly FLAT with NONE OF THE RING WEAR THAT IS SO COMMON WITH THESE SLEEVES!!! It has the absolutely NO edge and corner wear!!!  The fully laminated inner gatefold is also pristine with no nasty scribbles/stains or blemishes of any kind!!! It has no discoloration and NONE OF THE AFOREMENTIONED RING WEAR!!! Impossible for this sleeve!! The spine is simple faultless, clear un-creased and un-cracked laminate with perfectly legible spine text - stunning!!! I really cannot find anything wrong with this sleeve, I suppose if I'm overly critical there are two tiny indentation lines on the back of the sleeve, invisible unless holding the record angled to strong light and have NOT broken the laminate. That's it for the sleeve - it is the most PRISTINE EXAMPLE YOU WILL EVER SEE and easily grades as Mint-!!! As I mentioned previously, please rest assured that this is in no way over-graded, what you are getting here is the real deal. I adhere strictly to record collector grading standards!!! IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND 1ST PRESS E. J. DAY TEXTURED SLEEVES IN THIS CONDITION ANYMORE!!!

The LP comes with its Original correct UK 'Warning box' and 'Patents' poly-lined windowed inner sleeve - which is also in stunning MINT- condition! Perfectly flat with NO creases and NO separation of the inner poly lining!!! Beautiful!! A little note about insurance - Please read carefully... If the value of your record(s) is over £30, your invoice will include an insured option.
