Led Zeppelin - IN THROUGH THE OUT DOOR "SWAN SONG" A AND C (1975). 1st ever UK press.
Near Mint condition. The record itself has only been played once.
This vinyl has been well loved, well looked after and cared for. Seriously I cannot stress how crisp, clean and beautiful the condition is overall. It is an amazing piece of history.
Sleeves, covers and vinyls are all in Excellent / Near Mint condition.
One brown cover for A has a very small blemish, the over cover for C is mint.
This is a great addition to anyones collection from professional, experienced and serious collectors to people who are relatively new to this or have just started collecting.
Vinyl Details: 12" LP, playing at 33 1/3 RPM, and recorded in STEREO.
Certain things to consider and how to identify UK first press: On first press copies like this one the matrices were corrected. (More information below) The original cover was by Hipgnosis. Another important point to mention is that it states 'Manufactured in the UK'.
SSK 59410 format, Manufactured in the UK in 1979.
Matrix numbers: side 1: SSK 89400 A5 side 2: SSK 89400 B4
B4 has been corrected to B5. The word 'STRAWBERRY' is also etched into the vinyl.
Record / Vinyl condition: The record is in near mint condition. I cannot stress enough this vinyl literally looks like brand new. Has literally been played once or twice.
Cover condition: The cover is made from a very thick card material and is in near mint condition again. It looks like it has just been taken out when it was first wrapped up even after roughly 40 years!
Spine condition: The spine is also in great condition. Still functions really well. The cover opens and closes really easily still and there are no major creases that are noticeable etc. Everything is still fully readable.
The labels: The labels are also in great condition. They are still fully readable no tears, no fading of the text etc. They are crisp, clean and fully readable. Honestly looks brand new and untouched.
These sorts of items rarely come up on ebay and this is a fantastic opportunity. They are very limited especially something of this quality / calibre. The fact that it has been well looked after and it is still in this kind of condition even after all these years and I hope someone out there can appreciate it and enjoy it as much as I have when I first played it. It is an amazing piece of history and I hope that it will remain like this for many years to come.
