Description
LED ZEPPELLIN IV (Four Symbols) Catalogue number: 2401012 Label : Atlantic - Red Plum Year or Reliase - 1971 Matrix: A3 PECKO DUCK / B4 PORKY , very early 1st UK press.
I believe this is version 5 of the (original) red & plum label, because : ~ Band Name Led Zeppelin on top half of label under the 4 symbols, ~ Track 1 Side 2 incorrectly stated as Misty Mountain Top (previous and subsequent versions, and Inner Sleeve correctly stated as Misty Mountain Hop), ~ words "Under licence from Atlantic Recording Corpn." now within central white stripe, ~ erroneous publishing credit "Kinney Music Ltd." corrected to "Kinney Music Ltd / Superhype Music Inc."
Inner Sleeve : original "grey blotting paper" inner sleeve with "Stairway To Heaven" lyrics. Bottom seam split side to side (not unusual with this "blotting paper" type material), and sides have small split each. Gatefold sleeve.
Sleeve condition : Gatefold sleeve is very good but shows signs of wear (see pics). Very light wear to the edges and spine but overall a EX
Record condition : There are some very light marks that are visible under a strong light and in no way affect the listening experience. There are no skips or jumps, only occasional light crackle! A superb example that plays fantastically! EX
