Description

Led Zeppelin’s fourth (and some would say best) album, catalogue No. 2401012 on the Atlantic Red/Plum label. A very good example of this original 1971 UK FIRST PRESSING. This has the famous ‘Pecko Duck’ and ‘Porky’ etchings in the run off grooves on each side and the oddly more rare 'Misty Mountain HOP' correct spelling. As with all these early Zeppelin pressings the power they got into those grooves is astonishing ! This recording has tremendous power and surges out of the speakers and (very pleasantly) kicks you in the aural senses !! Bonzo’s drums are always a revelation and here it feels like you’re right there with him when He’s pounding out ‘Four Sticks’ and ‘When The Levee Breaks’. There are only a very few light clicks throughout the whole record and none of these are loud. Some surface crackle in the very quietest parts but not all of them. I would grade the vinyl as at least VG+. I have replaced the original cover and inner sleeve with a later UK issue due to the condition of the originals which is not good. I can include the originals if the winning bidder so desires. The photo's are of the later issues which are in at least VG+ condition with inner having a split to the bottom. Lastly, the labels.  A very good example of an awesome record by an awesome band captured at the height of their powers !!
