LABEL: ATLANTIC 2401012

This is the rarest version of Led Zeppelin IV and is in VG+ condition. Both labels have two stickers over the Peter Grant credits (see photos).  These stickers were used a few remaining first press copies to cover up the Peter Grant credits after it had been agreed to credit Jimmy Page as the producer. All later copies have the Jimmy Page/Kinney/Superhype credits printed on the labels.

The vinyl is in super condition with only a few light whispey marks best seen under bright light and a few very light non-sounding scuffs. The only intrusion into the sound quality I could detect were a few light pops at the start of track one but really nothing to reduce the sound quality or spoil the listening experience to any degree. It is not mint but grades easily as VERY GOOD +.

The all important labels can be seen in the photos to be EXCELLENT if not better.

The gatefold non-laminated cover is very presentable and of course could be replaced with a mint version to enhance the value of this LP. It is generally excellent with only signs of a water stain to reduce the grade to VERY GOOD.

The original lyric inner sleeve is present and grades VERY GOOD - its has a bottom split. The LP is actually housed in a correct period poly-lined inner sleeve to prevent further waer to the original inner.

However please note that unless the play quality is specifically mentioned records are graded visually. I aim to describe the visual appearance of all items accurately using the standards below which are based on the UK Record Collector Price Guide. The highest grade I use now is NEAR MINT ('UNPLAYED' if still sealed in shrink wrap or occasionally full MINT but only if the provenance of the item suggests this to be correct). Records graded EX+ or EX++ would probably be called 'near mint' or 'mint' by most sellers. Please READ THE ITEM DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY and study photographs to avoid disappointment later. I will refund only on items which do not conform to the description and standards set out here.

GRADING SYSTEM

NEAR MINT: The record appears to be in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and other inserts are perfect. For MINT grading see above

EXCELLENT: The item has been played and may have some light surface marks but there is very little, if any, lessening in sound quality. Cover and contents have slight wear.

VERY GOOD: The record has been played quite alot  but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Cover and contents show some wear.

GOOD:The record has been played many times and the sound quality has deteriorated noticeably. The cover and contents are often damaged

I use EX++,EX+,VG++,VG+ as subsidiary gradings. Unless the record is extremely rare I do not sell items which are less than VG in condition.

The charge depends on the weight so please enquire if you want this option, Items over £30 in value are recommended to be sent insured. I obtain a certificate of posting from the UK Post Office for all items. If an item is lost in the post I will claim on the buyer's behalf and reimburse when the Post Office pays compensation.
