LED ZEPPELIN IV (4) - symbols - ORIGINAL UK PLUM A3/B4 CORRECTED MATRIX - RARE.
Led zeppelin: 4 ATLANTIC 2401012 UK
Matrix numbers: 2401012 A-3 and 2401012 B-4 …Pecko duck etched on side A and Porky on side B.
Rare original PLUM pressing with early A3/B4 matrix numbers. The ‘Under license’ text is printed in the white strip, and there’s a “Kinney Music Ltd./Superhype MusicInc.” credit on the labels.
This pressing has the CORRECTED first side matrix numbers – instead of the correct A/3 the side A matrix ended with B/1..The error was spotted and stamped with XX and the correct ending (A/3) was stamped on the immediate right – this matrix is only on the very first records made - not too many of these made it out of the pressing plant…….
Has the original brown inner sleeve – which has been cut by the record somewhat
Record Condition:
SIDE A = VG (The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch).
SIDE B = EXCELLENT- (The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality).
Cover: original unlaminated GF cover ….
Cover Condition = excellent+ (plus)
Has a sticker on the back – "K5008 STEREO"
Spine is nice square - no rips,tears,splits or any other damages....
Labels: Very nice and clean with light spindle hole marks.
