FORMAT : Vinyl LP
LABEL : Atlantic Recording Corporation / WARNER BROS. - PIONEER Corporation JAPAN
CAT NO : P-8166A
YEAR : 1971

DETAILED CONDITION:
VINYL : Excellent (EX) or Excellent Minus (EX-). Superficial hair scuffs.
LABELS : Excellent Minus (EX-). Looks nice but presents light spotting visible only at an angle. Please see photos.
OUTER SLEEVE : Very Good Plus (VG+++). It would be excellent, but there is a spine wear closer to the top edge. Also there are several wrinkles from bending visible at an angle on the back surface. Superficial oblique trace of the depression on the back surface of the gatefold. Slight scuffs along the bottom edge inside the gatefold.
The cover is still beautiful yet. Please see photos.
INNER SLEEVE : Excellent Minus (Ex-). A few white traces of scuffs, a few light brown dots, slight folding along the upper edge. Please see photos.
OBI : Very Good Plus (VG+).
On the front - there is a waviness along the left edge, several traces of bending, most noticeable on the lower right edge. Edge wear and a small tear (several millimeters) along the bottom edge.
On the back - the counterfoil part of OBI with a printed price was torn off (I met several similar copies there was some reason for a torn).
Please see photos.
JAPANESE INSERT: Very Good (VG). Two highly visible (and several noticeable) brown spots. Slight dimming on the right and left edges, several quite noticeable folds from bending along the edge. A tear along one of the edges approximately 3 cm long. See photos.
GRADING
I only grade as mint where the record is brand new and sealed with no visible damage to the sleeve.
Near Mint (NM):
Sleeve: Will only show very minor signs of storage/handling wear. It may have slight corner bumps/rub, ringwear and maybe very minor creasing. It will have no rips or splits.
Record: Will be in a new like condition. Very Clean. It may have very, very minor defects such as no more than a couple of very light wispy hairlines and a couple of spindle trails around the centre holes. Basically a record in NM condition will look like you have just got it back from the record shop or at worse only had a couple of plays.
Excellent (EX):
Sleeve: As NM but the signs of wear will become a little more pronounced. There may be signs of stress at the seams maybe the beginnings of a split. It may have a cut out hole indicating that it was taken out of print. There may be a little graffiti on the sleeve or label.
Record: Will show signs of play but has been well looked after by the previous owner. It may show a few more light marks/scuffs than a NM. These marks won't be deep enough to be felt. There may be the odd click or crackle upon playback. Slight warps are that don't effect the sound are OK.
Very Good (VG):
Sleeve: A VG sleeve will have many of the defects found in a EX but more pronounced. Seam splits may be more obvious or may be taped or show residue. There may be small rips. It may show some age/handling discolouration. Laminate may be bubbled, may be marred with writing.
Record: Wear and defects will be more obvious with marks/scuffs deep enough to feel with a fingernail. Groove wear will be more noticeable. Sound deterioration and surface noise will become more likely especially during quieter passages.
