ALL MY RECORDS ARE CAREFULLY LOOKED AFTER, THEY HAVE BEEN CLEANED ON MY KNOSTI ANTI-STAT CLEANER AND PLACED IN BRAND NEW ANTI-STATIC POLY-LINED INNER SLEEVES. ALL THE COVERS ARE PLACED IN BRAND NEW OUTER PLASTIC SLEEVES.  I ALWAYS PLAY THE RECORDS THAT I AM LISTING, LISTENING THROUGH HEADPHONES ON MY HIGH END SYSTEM. I GRADE MY RECORDS USING THE RECORD COLLECTOR'S GRADING SYSTEM - I NEVER USE MINT CONDITION UNLESS FOR A BRAND NEW SEALED RECORD. ALL MY RECORDS ARE SENT OUT IN BOXED MAILERS WITH THICK CARDBOARD STIFFENERS TO PREVENT ANY DAMAGE IN THE POST. I USUALLY SEND OUT RECORDS TO THE WINNING BIDDERS VIA ROYAL MAIL 2ND CLASS SIGNED FOR.

SORRY NO INNER SLEEVE WITH THIS COPY.  A VERY DECENT AUDIO 1971 PRESS COPY, STILL A VERY ENJOYABLE LISTEN WITH A LOUD CUT SOUND DESPITE SOME LIGHT BACKGROUND CRACKLE IN THE FEW QUIET PARTS, A FEW LIGHT CLICKS DURING 'STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN' FOR INSTANCE. NO HEAVY CLICKS, SKIPS OR JUMPS - NOTHING INTRUSIVE, THIS SOUNDS SUPERB IN THE LOUD HARD ROCK NUMBERS.  A VERY DECENT SOUNDING COPY OF POSSIBLY ZEPPELIN'S BEST ALBUM. ONLY SELLING AS I HAVE ANOTHER UK FIRST PRESSING COPY OF THIS  BRILLIANT ALBUM.

Of 8 known 'plum' label variants, this is the 8th. Specific to this label variant are:

1. 'Marketed by Polydor Records Limited' at 6 o'clock on labels.
2. 'Under license from Atlantic Recording Corp.' in white area under ATLANTIC on left side.
3. LED ZEPPELIN is printed above spindle hole
4. Catalogue number at 3 o'clock above circular Atlantic logo reads 'deluxe 2401012'
5. There is no Peter Grant credit, and song publishing credits are: Kinney Music Ltd./Superhype Music Inc.
6. Track B1 is credited on B-side label as "Misty Mountain Hop"

Sleeve is a gatefold, thick card with sealed left side edge when opened up to reveal 'The Hermit' drawing. Disc is housed in a grey card liner with credits on one side and the lyrics to 'Stairway to Heaven' on the other. Outer glue-tabs on the left and right sides of liner.
Importantly, although Jimmy Page had got all the 'Executive Producer Peter Grant' credits removed from the labels by this time, the liner still retains this credit, bottom left side.

This release was commonly referred to as 'Led Zeppelin IV', to follow in sequence with their previous three releases, but no actual title appears on the release.

AUDIO PLAYBACK IS WITH SOME LIGHT BACKGROUND CRACKLE IN THE FEW QUIET PARTS AND A FEW LIGHT CLICKS ON 'STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN' ON SIDE 1. SIDE 2 IS IN VERY GOOD PLUS AUDIO CONDITION, WITH JUST A FEW LIGHT RANDOM CLICKS ON 'GOING TO CALIFORNIA'. THIS SOUNDS SUPERB IN THE LOUDER SECTIONS, STILL A VERY ENJOYABLE LISTEN, BUT NOT FOR THE AUDIOPHILE PURIST. A VERY DECENT PLUM LABEL 1971 COPY, OVERALL IN VERY GOOD AUDIO CONDITION.

MATT GATE FOLD COVER :  KEPT IN A PLASTIC OUTER SLEEVE SINCE I PURCHASED THE RECORD. SOME SPINE AND CORNER WEAR, A LITTLE RING WEAR AS USUAL ON THIS MATT SURFACE SLEEVE. GLUE RESIDUE MARK WHERE A STICKER WAS REMOVED BUT NO SURFACE TEARS IN THE TOP LEFT CORNER AS PICTURED. OVERALL IN GOOD PLUS CONDITION.
SORRY, NO BROWN CARD INNER SLEEVE.
I HAVE PLACED THE COVER IN A BRAND NEW POLYTHENE OUTER SLEEVE.

OVERALL : THE VINYL OVERALL IS VERY GOOD AUDIO CONDITION WITH SOME LIGHT BACKGROUND CLICKS AND CRACKLE ON SIDE 1, SIDE 2 IS IN VERY GOOD PLUS AUDIO CONDITION WITH A FEW LIGHT CLICKS DURING 'GOING TO CALIFORNIA'. HOWEVER THIS STILL SOUNDS SUPERB IN THE LOUD HEAVY ROCK NUMBERS WHICH DOMINATE THE RECORD, A BRILLIANT ZEPPELIN ALBUM. WITH A GOOD CONDITION SLEEVE BUT NO ORIGINAL INNER, HENCE THE LOW STARTING PRICE.
