PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Extremely rare-No Bar Code pressing, "Led Zeppelin II" US 9-track stereo vinyl LP set on Atlantic Records presented in a gatefold picture sleeve. No release year shown on the back.

This set remains sealed from new in the original manufactur's shrink wrap with the rare "SUPER SAVER SERIES" sticker still attached over shrink on front cover and very nice custom 2 inch square complete song listing sticker over shrink on back cover!. The shrink wrap is still intact and the cover is in excellent condition with no bent corners, gouges or other flaws. An absolutely stunning copy!!!

This is not a first pressing due to the fact it has a 'Super Savers Series' sticker on the front but on the other hand there is no barcode on the back. The interesting thing though is that reissues usually didn't have the sticker as shown on the back. Originally released in 1969 on Atlantic cat# SD 8236, this is a later version -probably from 1977- with the cat# SD19127 by Atlantic label also.

'Led Zeppelin II' is the second studio album by English rock band Led Zeppelin, released in October 1969 on Atlantic Records. Recording sessions for the album took place at several locations in the UK and North America from January to August 1969. Production was entirely credited to lead guitarist and songwriter Jimmy Page , while it also served as Led Zeppelin's first album to utilise the recording techniques of engineer Eddie Kramer.

Led Zeppelin II furthered the lyrical themes established on their debut album, creating a work that became more widely acclaimed and influential than its predecessor. With elements of blues and folk music , it also exhibits the band's evolving musical style of blues-derived material and their guitar and riff -based sound. It is one of the band's heaviest albums.

Upon release, Led Zeppelin II earned a considerable amount of sales and was Led Zeppelin's first album to reach #1 in the UK and the US. In 1970, art director David Juniper was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Recording Package for the album. On 15 November 1999, it was certified 12x Platinum by the RIAA for sales in excess of 12 million copies. Following its initial reception, it has been recognised by writers and music critics as one of the greatest and most influential rock albums ever recorded.

Prices for this factory sealed of “LED ZEPPELIN - LED ZEPPELIN II” US gatefold vinyl LP pressing continue to rise. This is a very early reissue, and hardly ever turn up in sealed condition.

Don't miss your chance to complete your LED ZEPPELIN collection with this hard-to-find rarity in pristine condition. Do not second guess yourself on this masterpiece because once gone it's gone forever and will skyrocket in price on the collectors market
