Description

On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Led Zeppelin called "Led Zeppelin III" and is an ORIGINAL 1970 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press 'Red/Maroon' (Plum) Atlantic label!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS IS ONE OF LED ZEPPELIN'S RAREST LPs EVER AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL IS THAT IT IS THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE - WITH COMPLETELY 'DIFFERENT' LABELS!!!!  AND THIS IS SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP!!!!  AMAZINGLY THIS LP HAS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT LABELS - WHICH WERE CHANGED ON ALL LATER PRESSINGS!!!!  I WILL EXPLAIN THE VITALLY IMPORTANT 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS DIFFERENCES WHICH MAKE THIS LP SO INCREDIBLY RARE!!!!

THIS LP WAS ENDLESSLY RE-PRESSED THROUGHOUT THE 1970s , AND EVEN THE ORIGINAL 'RED/PLUM' ATLANTIC LABEL HAD 3 DIFFERENT PRESSINGS, SO IT IS VITALLY IMPORTANT TO IDENTIFY A 100% GENIUNE 1970 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING - TO AVOID BUYING A LATER 1971 RE-PRESSING!!!!  MOST 'RED/PLUM' ATLANTIC PRESSINGS YOU SEE ACTUALLY DATE FROM 1971 - WHICH IS WHEN MOST SALES OF THIS LP TOOK PLACE.  HOWEVER THIS LP IS A 100% GENIUNE 1970 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING - WITH ALL THE CORRECT 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS DETAILS DATING THIS EXACTLY TO THE 'DAY OF RELEASE' IN BACK IN 1970 (AND SHOWING THAT THIS LP WAS PRESSED WAY BEFORE THE RELEASE DATE)!!!!  THE FIRST DIFFERENCE IS THE ULTRA RARE TEXT ON THE RED/PLUM ATLANTIC LABELS!!!!  IF YOU TAKE A LOOK AT THE LABELS (IN MY PICTURES) YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE THAT TOWARDS THE TOP OF EACH LABEL (ABOVE THE WHITE STRIPE) IN LARGE TEXT THERE IS PRINTED 'PRODUCED BY JIMMY PAGE' AND BELOW THIS 'EXECUTIVE PRODUCER: PETER GRANT'!!!!  THIS ULTRA RARE LABEL TEXT ONLY APPLIED TO THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSINGS ONLY - AND THIS WAS CHANGED VERY QUICKLY INDEED, WITH THE 'JIMMY PAGE' CREDIT MOVED TO THE BOTTOM OF EACH LABEL (IN SMALLER TEXT) ON ALL LATER RE-PRESSINGS - AND THE 'PETER GRANT' CREDIT WAS COMPLETELY REMOVED ALTOGETHER!!!!  ANOTHER THING TO MENTION IS THE DIFFERENCE IN THE 'CAT. NUMBER' ON THE LABELS!!!!  1ST PRESSINGS HAVE THE CAT. NUMBER AS '2401002' JOINED TOGETHER - WHEREAS ALL LATER PRESSINGS INSERT AN EXTRA 'DASH' AND SHOW THE CAT. NUMBER AS '2401-002'!!!!  AND THESE DETAILS ARE SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT AS THEY ONLY APPLY TO 100% GENIUNE 1970 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSINGS ONLY FROM THE VERY 'DAY OF RELEASE'!!!!  NOT ONLY THAT BUT THE VINYL ON THIS ULTRA RARE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING IS MUCH THICKER THAN ALL LATER PRESSINGS!!!!  THE COVER IS ALSO THE 'EARLIEST POSSIBLE' 1ST PRESS COVER - BEING FULLY LAMINATED, HAVING A PERFECTLY WORKING 'ROTATING WHEEL' AND CORRECT '2401 002' 1ST PRESS CAT NUMBERS!!!!  AND AS A 100% GENIUNE 1ST PRESSING - THE RECORD OF COURSE ALSO HAS THE 1ST PRESS 'DO WHAT THOU WILT' &  'SO MOTE IT BE' ETCHINGS IN THE RUN ON GROOVES!!!!  NOT ONLY THAT - BUT THIS LP EVEN HAS THE 'EARLIEST POSSIBLE' 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE - WITH A 1970 DATE CODING IN THE BOTTOM RIGHT HAND CORNER!!!!  SO THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT AT ALL - THAT THIS IS THE 'EARLIEST' & RAREST 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE - FROM THE VERY 'DAY OF RELEASE' BACK IN 1970!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS!!!!

NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN GREAT CONDITION!!!!  JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1970 UK 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS RED/MAROON (PLUM) ATLANTIC LABEL, ULTRA RARE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS LABEL TEXT (SEE DETAILS ABOVE), 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 'DO WHAT THOU WILT' &  'SO MOTE IT BE' ETCHED IN THE RUN ON GROOVES, AND 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 'ROTATING WHEEL' FULLY LAMINATED 'E.J.DAY' COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS ULTRA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL Atlantic UK 1st Pressing from 1970 and is in GREAT condition!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl.  The Cat. No is 2401 002 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Red/Maroon Atlantic label (see picture) and is a UK Stereo 1st Pressing (there were NO Monos)!!!!

The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing and only a VERY few light spindle marks!!!!  IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HASNT BEEN PLAYED MUCH AT ALL!!!!  The vinyl is in GREAT condition!!!!  Most of these 60s/70s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has only 1 slightly more visual hairline type mark, only 3 or 4 light hairlines, only 3 or 4 VERY light scufflines, only a MEGA faint 'bag sweat' line trace on 1 side ONLY, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!!  It is also great to find that the playing of the record is as STUNNING as the visual!!!!  It plays with NO nasty loud pops, only a VERY few ULTRA light clicks, NO jumps, NO sticks, barely ANY crackle AT ALL, and only some slight background sound on the run on grooves & gaps!!!!  The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO groovewear and NO distortion either!!!!  The record must MEGA STRICTLY grade Very Good(Minus) if not better!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!!  I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 'Earliest' 1st Press 1970 'date coded' inner sleeve which is in SUPERB condition!!!!  The 1st Press 'E.J.Day' FULLY Laminated 'Rotating Wheel' Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  It has NO edgewear, NO spinal wear, only  VERY slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), only a few VERY minor TINY indentations, only a few VERY light creases (cover is VERY flat looking!), and NO writing!!!!  There is also 1 absolutely TINY indentation on the bottom right corner of the REVERSE of the cover - though this really is as UNNOTICEABLE as it gets!!!!  It is also VERY important to note that the 'Rotating Wheel' works PERFECTLY and ALL the 'Die Cut' holes on the cover front are in STUNNING condition!!!!  The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!!  Even the laminated inside is in SUPERB condition with NO yellowing, NO grubbyness, STUNNING shiny laminate, and NO writing!!!!  The cover must grade Very Good++ if not better!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS ULTRA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!

HAVE A LOOK AT MY PICTURES - I DO MY BEST TO SHOW THE RECORD FROM ALL ANGLES AND MAKE THE PICTURES AS CLEAR AS POSSIBLE - THERE IS NOTHING TO HIDE!!!! It really is a GREAT looking LP and it is truly rare to find any copies of this MEGA rare LP in this sort of condition!!!! THIS WILL BE YOUR ONLY CHANCE TO BUY AN ORIGINAL 1970 UK 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING OF "LED ZEPPELIN III" BY LED ZEPPELIN, IN GREAT CONDITION!!!!  Dont forget to take a look at all my other items including many other TOP LPs and contact me with any queries you may have.
